Next-Gen Bajaj Pulsar Confirmed for August 12 Launch With Major Changes

Bajaj has confirmed the launch of a new Pulsar on August 12, as part of the brand's 25th anniversary celebrations. Up to 10 new Pulsar models across the 125cc-160cc range are planned over the coming months.

The Pulsar 150 is the most anticipated debut, though a next-gen Pulsar 160 or Pulsar 125 cannot be ruled out.

What To Expect

The next-gen model is expected to be a ground-up new motorcycle, not merely a facelift. It should get a new chassis, updated engine, revised suspension and modern features like a digital console and LED lighting.

Spy shots have revealed a muscular fuel tank and bikini fairing that nod to the original Pulsar's silhouette. The test mule also appears to use a single downtube frame and rear monoshock, ditching the ageing double-cradle and twin-shock setup.

The Pulsar 150 is the only model in the entire lineup that has gone without a meaningful update for years, making this launch long overdue.

At this price, it will compete against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R, Honda Unicorn and Yamaha FZ-S Fi.
