Founded in 2016, Ultraviolette gained popularity with its F77 superbike, which set benchmarks for electric performance motorcycles in India. The X47 builds on that foundation, sharing the F77's platform but with a redesigned chassis and sub-frame tailored for crossover versatility.
This launch comes at a time when electric two-wheelers account for over 50% of new registrations in India, driven by government incentives and rising fuel costs. Ultraviolette's focus on in-house engineering, from motors to software, highlights its commitment to creating vehicles suited for Indian roads.
The X47 boasts a rugged yet futuristic aesthetic inspired by aviation engineering, characterised by a beak-style front fender, a sculpted fuel tank, and a raked tail section. Its cast aluminium sub-frame adds durability without excess weight. With 200 mm of ground clearance and upright ergonomics, it suits both city streets and light trails.
The bike includes a windscreen, high handlebars with knuckle guards, and optional accessories like panniers and auxiliary lights for touring.

Available in three standard colour schemes, Laser Red, Airstrike White, and Shadow Black, the X47 also offers a limited Desert Wing edition with a sand finish, rear luggage rack, saddle stays, and soft or hard panniers. The single-piece seat and angular bodywork contribute to its adventurist appeal, measuring compactly at around 2,100 mm in length for easy manoeuvrability.
At the heart of the X47 lies a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 40 bhp and 100 Nm of torque. This setup propels the bike from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 145 km/h. Riders can choose from three modes: Glide for efficiency, Combat for balanced performance, and Ballistic for maximum thrill.
The bike comes in two battery variants: a 7.1 kWh pack offering 211 km IDC range, and a larger 10.3 kWh unit providing up to 323 km. Both feature air-cooled thermal management with five layers of safety, including surge and earth leakage protection. Charging is facilitated by an integrated 1.6 kW onboard charger, compatible with Type 2 AC and DC fast charging via Ultraviolette's UV Supernova or UV Lync systems.
A full charge takes about 2.5 hours on a standard socket, with Parallel Boost Charging reducing times further.

The X47 introduces the UV Hypersense system, the world's first radar intelligence for production two-wheelers. This 77 GHz medium-range radar monitors up to 200 meters, providing blind-spot detection, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings, all adapted for Indian road conditions.
A compact dashcam with front and rear 1080p cameras (SONY IMX307 sensors, 120-degree view) records footage, with up to 256 GB storage - this is optional on the standard model but standard on the Desert Wing.
The cockpit features a 2.5-inch console-mounted touchscreen for navigation and alerts, paired with a coloured TFT instrument cluster displaying lean angle, speed, range, and more. Connectivity via the Violette AI app includes movement alerts and over-the-air updates. Additional aids like a tow alert and dynamic stability control enhance usability.
Safety is paramount on the X47, with switchable dual-channel ABS from Bosch's 10th generation, three levels of traction control, and nine levels of regenerative braking for controlled deceleration. Radial all-terrain tyres ensure grip on different surfaces, while the frame's aerospace-grade aluminium contributes to structural integrity. Ultraviolette backs the bike with an 8 lakh km warranty on the powertrain, emphasising long-term reliability.
The X47 has been launched at an introductory price of ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). However, this price is exclusively for the first 1,000 customers, with prices rising to ₹2.74 lakh thereafter. The Desert Wing edition requires a ₹4,999 pre-booking fee. Bookings are live on the Ultraviolette website for ₹999, with deliveries starting nationwide from October 25, 2025. Global exports are slated for 2026.

The Ultraviolette X47 Crossover arrives as a versatile electric option for riders seeking adventure without compromise. As India's electric two-wheeler market grows, the X47, with its cutting-edge radar tech and robust performance at an accessible price, positions Ultraviolette as a leader in performance-oriented EVs.
The X47 Crossover, though electric, will still compete with its similarly priced ICE-equipped rivals, such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Bajaj Dominar 400, and KTM’s Adventure Series motorcycles.
