Quick Read - Kawasaki Z300 gets Z900-inspired streetfighter styling, a 296cc parallel-twin engine and an expected TFT console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It is likely to share its suspension and braking hardware with the Ninja 300.
Kawasaki India has unveiled the Z300 streetfighter at an event in Bengaluru, ahead of its official price announcement on 20th October 2026. Bookings open a day earlier, on 19th October.
Kawasaki Z300 Design and Positioning
The Z300 is essentially a naked version of the Ninja 300, styled after the larger Z900. It will be the entry-level model in Kawasaki’s Z series lineup in India. The design carries the sharp, aggressive lines of the Z family, though in a smaller, more accessible package.

Z300 Engine
The Z300 shares its 296cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with the Ninja 300, which produces 38.4 PS and 26.1 Nm in that motorcycle. The Z300 is expected to return similar figures, though Kawasaki has not confirmed the final output numbers for the India-spec model yet.
Expected Z300 Features and Equipment
Based on what is known, the Z300 is expected to get a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. This would be a clear step up from the semi-digital console on the Ninja 300.
The underpinnings are expected to carry over from the Ninja 300, with a telescopic front fork, monoshock rear, 17-inch alloy wheels, petal disc brakes at both ends, and dual-channel ABS.
It is worth noting that these details are based on expectations from the shared platform, and Kawasaki has not yet confirmed the full India-spec equipment list.

Z300 Expected Pricing and Rivals
No price has been announced yet. The Ninja 300 is currently priced at Rs 3.37 lakh ex-showroom. If Kawasaki prices the Z300 meaningfully below that, it would land in direct range of the KTM 390 Duke, which is a considerably more powerful machine.
