Chetak C2501 - New Entry-Level Variant

- Introduces the new 2.5 kWh battery pack
- Offers a range of up to 113 km (IDC)
- Features a solid metal body with a 25L boot space
The Chetak C2501 serves as the most accessible and compact entry point into the Bajaj Chetak EV lineup, launched in January 2026 to make electric mobility more affordable and approachable for first-time riders and city commuters.
Powered by a 2.5 kWh battery, it delivers an IDC-certified range of up to 113 km on a single charge. The top speed is capped at 55 km/h, which keeps it nimble and safe for urban traffic.
Charging from 0-80% takes approximately 2 hours 25 minutes using the standard 750W off-board home charger (full charge around 3.45 hours).
It comes with basic drum brakes on both ends, hill hold assist (via optional TecPac in some configurations), reverse mode, and IP67 certification for excellent water and dust resistance.
Connectivity is limited in the base model (no standard full Bluetooth app integration for advanced features like diagnostics or alerts), but the optional TecPac unlocks extras such as music control, guide-me-home lights, anti-theft alerts, and more.
Ride modes include Eco for maximum efficiency and Sports for responsive performance, backed by a standard 3-year or 50,000 km warranty, with extended warranty options available.
Available in six colours, including Glossy Active Black, Ocean Teal Matte, and others, the C2501 is noticeably lighter (around 107 kg) and more compact for easier handling and parking.
Priced at ₹87,100 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), it offers exceptional value for budget-conscious EV adopters seeking the iconic Chetak metal build quality without premium extras.
Chetak 3001 - Mid-Spec Battery Pack

What it adds over the 2501:
- Introduces the new 3.0 kWh battery pack.
- Offers a range of up to 127 km (IDC).
- Offers 35L of storage space.
The Chetak 3001 serves as an accessible entry point into its limited but highly capable portfolio.
Powered by a 3.0 kWh battery, it delivers an IDC-certified range of up to 127 km on a single charge. The top speed caps at 63 km/h slow but okay-ish Charging from 0-80% takes approximately 3 hours 50 minutes using a standard home charger.
You get a basic drum brakes (Ø130 front and rear), hill hold assist to prevent rollback on inclines, and IP67 certification ensuring resilience against water and dust.
Connectivity comes via Bluetooth app integration on Android and iOS, enabling basic features like call and message alerts, vehicle diagnostics, and over-speed warnings.
Ride modes include Eco for efficiency and Sports for a peppier response, backed by a standard 3-year or 50,000 km warranty, extendable post-booking.
Available in vibrant colors such as Racing Red, Brooklyn Black, Azure Blue, Lime Yellow, and Cyber White, the optional TecPac unlocks extras like music play/pause and guide-me-home lights.
Priced at ₹99,500 ex-showroom in Bengaluru, it offers great value for first-time EV adopters.
Chetak 3503 – Extended Range & Comfort

What it adds over the 3001:
- Upgrades to a 3.5 kWh battery pack.
- Increases range to 151 km (IDC).
The Chetak 3503 is a step up from the base model, mainly because of its larger 3.5 kWh battery. This is the key difference, giving it an official range of 151 km on a single charge a significant improvement for anyone who needs to travel longer distances without worrying about finding a charging point.
The scooter's performance is intentionally capped. It has a top speed of 63 km/h, which is fine for city commuting but could feel slow on larger, faster roads. The charging time is decent at 3 hours and 25 minutes to get to 80%, but it’s not an "ultra-fast" charge.
Physically, it's a solid, all-metal scooter, built to be sturdy and durable. Its weight and size 1914 mm long with a 775 mm seat height are standard, which makes it easy to handle for most riders. The 35-liter boot is a useful feature, large enough for a helmet or a good amount of groceries.
For safety, the brakes are a basic drum brake system on both the front and rear wheels. While they work, they don't offer the same stopping power or feel as a more advanced disc brake setup. It does come with useful features like hill hold assist and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
You can connect your phone via Bluetooth to manage calls and notifications. The optional TecPac adds more features like music control and "guide-me-home" lights. This is an extra cost you'll need to factor in if those features are important to you.
The Chetak 3503 offers a good balance of extended range and a reasonable price point (₹1,02,500 ex-showroom, Bengaluru), making it a solid choice if your priority is range over top speed or premium features. The standard 3-year or 50,000 km warranty is also a good selling point.
Chetak 3502 – Tech & Safety Upgrade

What it adds over the 3503:
- Introduces a front disc brake (Ø200 mm) for improved stopping power.
- Enhances app connectivity with features like live tracking and navigation.
- Upgrades seat to dual rexene for added comfort.
The Chetak 3502 comes with the same 3.5 kWh battery as the previous model, so its 153 km range is a solid number for most daily use.
The big difference is the top speed. You can get up to 73 km/h, but only if you pay for the optional TecPac upgrade. Without it, you're stuck at 63 km/h. This "speed boost" is a paid feature, which is something to consider.
The scooter has a similar sturdy, all-metal body and design, including a comfortable dual seat. It’s built to be durable and is IP67 rated, meaning it can handle rain and dust without a problem. It also has a reverse mode, which is a nice touch for getting out of tight parking spots.
However, there's no dedicated storage for documents, which is a minor but noticeable oversight.
When it comes to safety, the 3502 offers a significant upgrade: a front disc brake. This is a big improvement over the drum brakes on the other models, giving you much better stopping power and confidence. It also includes useful tech like anti-theft alerts and over-speed warnings.
The scooter is clearly aimed at tech-savvy riders. It has full app connectivity that provides features like live tracking, turn-by-turn navigation, and geo-fencing.
But once again, many of these "premium" features are locked behind the optional TecPac and an ongoing data plan. You'll need to decide if those features are worth the extra cost.
At ₹1,22,499 ex-showroom, it’s a more expensive option. You’re essentially paying for the front disc brake and the potential to unlock more digital features and a higher top speed, provided you're willing to pay for the TecPac add-on.
Chetak 3501 – Flagship Model

What it adds over the 3502:
- Offers a top speed of 73 km/h without requiring TecPac.
- Includes a 5L glovebox and document storage for added convenience.
- Features keyless access and sequential blinkers for enhanced user experience.
The Chetak 3501 is the most premium model in the lineup, priced accordingly.
It comes with the same 3.5 kWh battery and 153 km range as the 3502, but the main difference is that the top speed of 73 km/h is standard you don't have to pay extra for the TecPac to get it. This is a big plus, as it feels like you're getting full performance out of the box.
It also has the quickest charging time of the bunch, hitting 80% in 3 hours. This is a noticeable improvement for riders who are in a hurry.
On the design front, it's the same sturdy, all-metal body as the others, but it includes some nice comfort and convenience upgrades.
The quilted seat is a small but welcome touch for rider comfort, and features like a dedicated document storage compartment and a 5L glovebox show a focus on practicality. Keyless access and sequential blinkers add to the premium feel.
For safety, you get the essential front disc brake and a rear drum brake, which is a solid setup. However, some of the most useful safety features, like hill hold assist and guide-me-home lights, still require the optional TecPac.
This is a bit of a let down for a flagship model; you'd expect these to be standard at this price point.
Connectivity is a big part of the 3501's appeal, but like the other models, many of the advanced features such as live tracking, navigation, and music control are locked behind the TecPac and its additional data pack. You're paying for the hardware, but a good chunk of its functionality is still an extra charge.
Priced from ₹1,22,500 ex-showroom, the Chetak 3501 is for riders who want the best that the Chetak lineup offers and are willing to pay for it.
The standard 73 km/h top speed and better charging are definite advantages, but you'll still need to buy the optional TecPac to get all the smart features that make it a true flagship model.
