The Carens Clavis EV comes in two battery options – the 42kWh variant offers 404 km and the 51.4kWh Extended Range offers 490 km, both certified under the MIDC Part 1 + Part 2 cycle.
The car uses the CCS2 standard, the most widely supported fast-charging protocol in India. On an 11kW AC fast charger, Kia claims that the 42kWh battery charges from 10% to 100% in 4 hours, while the Extended Range takes 4 hours 45 minutes. On a 100kW DC fast charger, both variants reach 80% from 10% in just 39 minutes.
The Carens Clavis EV is available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. The 6-seater layout features 2nd-row captain seats with sliding, reclining, and tumble functions. The 7-seater uses a conventional bench row instead.
