Top Features of the Skoda Slavia Facelift

After the launch of the facelifted Kushaq earlier in March this year, Skoda is preparing the Slavia facelift, and its leaked brochure has revealed key information about all the features the sedan is about to get ahead of its launch. Many of the upgrades have been borrowed from the Kushaq.

Here is a closer look at the top five key features of the upcoming Slavia facelift.

10-inch Infotainment and 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit

The updated Slavia offers a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with inbuilt connectivity and an AI Assistant powered by Google Cloud. It pairs with a larger 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit that displays turn-by-turn navigation and other driving information.

Higher variants get this full digital setup while lower and mid trims are likely to retain analogue dials or a smaller screen. The system aims to make navigation, media and vehicle controls easier to use without taking eyes off the road for long.

Electrically Adjustable and Ventilated Front Seats with Rear Massaging Seats

Both the front seats now come with electric power adjustment and ventilation.

The rear seats add a massager function on higher trims, which were introduced on the Kushaq facelift earlier this year.

360° Area View Camera

Higher variants of the new Slavia get a 360-degree Area View camera system. Multiple cameras around the car create a top-down view on the screen, making parking in tight spots and manoeuvring in crowded city areas simpler and safer.

The system is useful in our traffic conditions where space is often limited and visibility can be restricted.

Rear Disc Brakes on 1.5 TSI Variants

The 1.5 TSI engine versions of the new Slavia come equipped with rear disc brakes, offering more consistent stopping power and better heat management compared to drum brakes, especially during repeated hard braking.

This upgrade supports the stronger performance of the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 7-speed DSG transmission, and contributes to more confident braking on highways and in varied driving conditions.

A major mechanical update is the introduction of an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with the 1.0 TSI engine. Also debuting on the Kushaq facelift, this transmission provides smooth shifts and is designed for relaxed city driving as well as highway cruising.

It joins the existing 6-speed manual option for the 1.0 TSI and the 7-speed DSG available with the 1.5 TSI.

All these upgrades make the Skoda Slavia a much more stronger package than before, making it better equipped to compete with its recently updated rivals like the Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
