Mahindra has expanded the BE 6 lineup with a new Formula E Edition that brings motorsport inspired styling and a richer feature list over the standard model. It is offered in two variants. The FE2 is priced at Rs. 23.69 lakh and the FE3 costs Rs. 24.49 lakh. Bookings open on January 14, 2026, and the first batch of deliveries will begin on February 14.

The Formula E Edition is offered in the same four colours as the standard BE 6. Tango Red, Stealth Black, Firestorm Orange and Everest White. Even so, the exterior receives a handful of changes that set this version apart. Both bumpers have been redesigned. They now look more aggressive and feature a silver finished faux bash plate, highlighting the SUV’s electric performance intent.

Circular headlights replace the regular units, and the contrasting grey and black cladding gives the body more definition from the front to the rear. Formula E themed decals cover the front quarter panels and even extend to the fixed glass roof. The roof and bonnet also carry a 12 stripe graphic that celebrates Mahindra’s 12 year journey in the Formula E Championship.

While the FE2 uses the same 19 inch wheels as the regular model, the FE3 moves to larger 20 inch alloys. The tail section is slightly different too, since the LED tail lights do not extend down toward the bumpers and a Formula E badge sits next to the BE 6 emblem.

Inside, the layout is identical to the standard BE 6. The squarish 2 spoke steering wheel, the wide halo loop dividing the cockpit and the twin 12.3 inch screens give the cabin a modern look. What changes is the colour and the theme. The Formula E Edition introduces a Firestorm Orange cabin theme. This mixes orange and black materials to create a more sporty feel.

There is a dedicated FIA X Formula E Edition plaque, Formula E logos on the dashboard and seats, and FIA branding on the seat belts. Mahindra has also added Formula E themed start up animations along with synthesised engine notes inspired by the race cars.

The feature list is generous because the Formula E Edition includes everything available on the top Pack Three variant. Owners get a cooled armrest console, two wireless charging pads, a 360 degree camera, ADAS features, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone connectivity and a Harman Kardon audio system. The FE3 variant goes further by offering adaptive suspension, which improves comfort and stability at higher speeds.

Power comes from the 79 kWh battery pack, which is the only option for this edition. It runs a rear mounted motor that produces 286 hp and 380 Nm. The ARAI certified range stands at 682 km, matching the standard top spec BE 6 variants.

With cosmetic upgrades, a refreshed interior and a richer sense of identity, the BE 6 Formula E Edition adds a performance inspired flavour to Mahindra’s electric SUV lineup while keeping the long range and strong equipment spread intact.

Mahindra BE.6 FE Vs Regular BE.6 Whats The Difference?

The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition sits very close to the BE 6 Pack Two in price, but the experience it delivers is far more expressive. Both share the same 79 kWh battery, similar power output of around 282 hp and 380 Nm, the same rear motor setup and nearly identical range figures, so the core EV performance remains unchanged. The real difference comes from design and cabin feel.

The Formula E Edition gets aggressive bumpers, circular headlights, race inspired decals, unique roof and bonnet graphics, contrasting cladding and larger 20 inch wheels on the FE3 trim, giving it a more dramatic identity than the standard Pack Two. Inside, the cabin gets a Firestorm Orange theme, FIA branded seat belts, Formula E logos and custom animations, making it feel more special than the regular interior of the Pack Two.

Features stay largely the same across both versions, but the Formula E Edition layers in a stronger emotional appeal and a sportier atmosphere, offering a more distinctive personality for nearly the same money.
