Hyundai Alcazar Diesel Finally Gets Panoramic Sunroof With New Corporate Trim

Hyundai has updated the Alcazar lineup by introducing a new Corporate variant for the diesel engine, now offering a panoramic sunroof for the first time. Until now, the feature was exclusive to the petrol variants. 

Priced from Rs 17.87 lakh (ex-showroom), the Corporate trim sits above the Prestige variant and is offered in both manual and automatic transmissions, but only in the 7-seater configuration.

Hyundai adds sunroof to diesel Alcazar

Hyundai finally addresses a major customer demand by bringing the panoramic sunroof to the diesel Alcazar. The omission was previously intentional to keep the diesel variant lightweight for better fuel economy, saving about 50kg and helping it return over 20kpl. However, given the popularity of sunroofs among Indian buyers, Hyundai has now decided to include the feature with this new variant.

More features, better value

The Alcazar Corporate variant slots between the Prestige and Platinum trims and comes equipped with several premium features. Highlights include:

• 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels
• 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
• Dual-zone climate control
• Ambient lighting
• Wireless charger
• Six airbags and ESC

It is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116PS and 250Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

In a related update, Hyundai has also made the petrol-DCT combination more accessible by offering it in the Prestige variant at Rs 18.64 lakh. Earlier, the DCT was only available from the Platinum trim onwards, priced at Rs 20.95 lakh. This change effectively reduces the entry price for the DCT version by over Rs 2.3 lakh.

Powertrain and Price

With prices ranging from Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 21.74 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hyundai Alcazar continues to rival the likes of the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, and also serves as a three-row alternative to the Kia Carens. 

The addition of the panoramic sunroof to the diesel variant makes the Alcazar more appealing than ever for feature-focused family SUV buyers.
