Skoda Kodiaq buyers do not need to figure out much, as it is only available in three solidly equipped variants. The jump between the lower and mid variant is a staggering Rs 8 lakh, but it is justified if you are a Škoda fan.

Please note that the mechanicals, like the 2.0 liter engine with 200 bhp, 4x4, and the 7 speed DSG, remain the same. Another gear would have made it perfect for highway cruising, but that 7 speed is pretty snappy for what it is.

What's New for 2026 vs the 2025 Model?

The 2025 Kodiaq launched at ₹39.99 lakh and was a strong car, but it had a noticeable gap: no ADAS whatsoever. The 2026 update plugs that hole and then some. The Lounge drops by ₹3 lakh, making it far more accessible.

Mechanically, nothing has changed the 2.0L TSI, 7-speed DSG, and 4x4 drivetrain carry over. But in terms of safety tech, the 2026 Kodiaq takes a meaningful leap forward. The Sportline and L&K also gain the LED Matrix headlights that enable the ADAS camera to function replacing the standard LED headlights that still come on the Lounge.

Let's be clear about who this variant is for: someone who wants a full-size premium European SUV with AWD, a panoramic sunroof, 9 airbags, and a 2.0L turbo-petrol without spending north of ₹40 lakh. 

At ₹36.99 lakh, the Lounge is the most accessible the Kodiaq has ever been, and it covers the essentials very well.

The 5-seat layout gives you a roomier rear experience (no third row eating into legroom) and still offers 786 litres of boot space with the seats up in the second row. If your family is four or five people and you don't need a third row, this is the sweet spot.

Kodiaq Sportline The One Most People Should Buy

.t now comes with the 360-degree camera, Intelligent Park Assist, LED Matrix headlights, illuminated front grille strip, and a full Level-2 ADAS suite things that were either absent or L&K-exclusive before.

 Layer on the sporty blacked-out styling, the 13-speaker Canton sound system, the larger 12.9-inch touchscreen, and the 7-seat layout, and you're looking at a very compelling car at ₹44.99 lakh. 

The main trade-offs vs the L&K: no seat ventilation or massage, no Ergo seat with pneumatic lumbar, and no Cognac leather. If you spend more time in the driver's seat than the rear, the Sportline is genuinely hard to argue with.

Colours & Wheels

The 2026 Kodiaq comes in five colours across the range, but not all are available on every variant. Moon White, Magic Black, and Graphite Grey are offered across all three. Race Blue opens up from the Sportline onwards, and Bronx Gold is exclusive to the Selection L&K. 

On the wheel front, each variant gets its own distinct R18 alloy design — the Lounge wears the Mazeno, the Sportline gets the sportier Soira, and the L&K gets the Mazeno with Aero Trims for a cleaner, more understated look. All three share the same R18 steel space-saver spare.
