The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has quickly established itself as one of the most popular compact crossovers in India, combining SUV-inspired styling with the practicality and efficiency buyers expect from a Maruti Suzuki. Its popularity is evident in its sales, with the Fronx recently surpassing 5 lakh units since its 2023 launch.

It rivals the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Maruti Brezza, standing out with its coupe-like styling, multiple powertrain options and strong fuel efficiency.

Following our detailed variant breakdown of the Toyota Taisor, the Fronx's Toyota counterpart, here's a similar breakdown of the latter:

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Prices And Variants Summary

The Fronx lineup spans from ₹6.84 lakh to ₹11.83 lakh (ex-showroom), a spread of nearly ₹5 lakh across five trim levels - Sigma (base), Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha (top), and twelve distinct sub-variants.

Sigma and Delta run on the 1.2L naturally aspirated K-Series petrol engine, while Zeta and Alpha are turbocharged. Delta+ occupies a unique position: it offers the 1.2L NA in both MT and AGS forms (₹8,04 lakh-₹8.54 lakh), and the 1.0L Turbo Boosterjet as the 'DiTC' MT sub-variant at ₹8.91 lakh, making it the only trim with a choice of powertrain.

Factory CNG is available on Sigma (₹7.78 lakh) and Delta (₹8.58 lakh) only. Also, the AMT (marketed as AGS by Maruti) is available from Delta through Delta+, while the 6-speed torque converter automatic is exclusive to Zeta and Alpha Turbo.

Lastly, the ceiling is the Alpha AT at ₹11.83 lakh, the only configuration where every feature the platform offers comes standard.

Regardless of which Fronx you buy, you get 6 airbags (dual front, side, and curtain) as standard, alongside ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear defogger, and 3-point ELR seat belts with audio-visual reminders for all five seats.

That said, it is yet to receive an Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP rating. Internationally, related versions have scored 4-5 stars in JNCAP and ASEAN NCAP, while the ANCAP result was lower at 1 star mainly due to rear-seat issues.

Notably, automatic climate control, not a manual dial, is standard from the base Sigma upwards, as are full power windows with driver-side auto-up and anti-pinch function, and keyless entry.

Every variant also features 3,995 mm length, 2,520 mm wheelbase, 308-litre boot on petrol variants, 195/60 R16 tyres, MacPherson strut front suspension, disc front brakes, and a 37-litre fuel tank.

Visually, the full LED rear combination lamp, front and rear skid plates, wheel arch and underbody cladding, roof end spoiler, shark-fin antenna, and flat-bottom steering wheel are present on every single trim.

Lastly, premium fabric upholstery and the dual-tone interior theme hold across all five variants too.

Here is what you get with each of the Fronx variants sitting comfortably under 15 lakhs:

Fronx Sigma Base Model

Who Should Buy The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Sigma Base Model?

The Sigma is best understood as the CNG-first variant. On petrol, the ₹80,000 gap to Delta is hard to dismiss, as Delta resolves every absence in one step, bringing a touchscreen, speakers, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, steering wheel controls, and an anti-theft system all appear there first.

The Sigma petrol MT holds value primarily for buyers with cost sensitivities. Meanwhile, the CNG Sigma is a materially different proposition, which at ₹7.78 lakh, gives buyers the coupe-crossover stance, a full 6-airbag safety suite, keyless entry, and automatic climate control, paired with a factory-fitted CNG system rated at 28.51 km/kg.

However, the CNG tank eliminates boot space entirely and there's no infotainment of any kind.

For high-km urban commuters who won't miss a screen and are going for the lowest possible per-kilometre running cost, the Sigma CNG is the most sensible variant in the entire Fronx range.

What features does Maruti Suzuki Fronx Sigma base model have?

The base model Fronx Sigma covers the essentials with 6 airbags, automatic climate control, keyless entry and 16-inch wheels.

Fronx Delta Model

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta Bluish Black Front Side View

Who Should Buy The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta Model?

Delta is the first variant where the Fronx feels complete. The 17.78 cm SmartPlay Pro touchscreen arrives here with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the 'Hi Suzuki' onboard voice assistant, OTA software update support, and four speakers, eliminating the Sigma's most jarring gap.

Electrically adjustable and auto-foldable ORVMs with turn indicators, body-coloured casing, steering wheel-mounted controls, and an anti-theft security system also arrive here. But the headlamps remain halogen projectors, wheels are still steel with covers, and there's no rear view camera or Suzuki Connect.

The Delta AGS at ₹8.14 lakh is a well-suited pick for city-primary buyers who want a no-clutch experience without approaching the turbo powertrain's pricing, while the 1.2L K-Series is tuned for city-speed comfort but noticeably lacks urgency at highway pace.

Lastly, the CNG Delta at ₹8.58 lakh is the most feature-complete CNG option in the lineup, though boot space is again occupied by the CNG tank.

What features does Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta add/upgrades over Sigma ?

The Delta introduces a touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, voice commands and powered mirrors for everyday convenience.

Fronx Delta+ Mid Model

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta+ Earthen Brown Front Side View

Who Should Buy The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta+ Model?

Delta+ is where the Fronx's exterior presence makes a visual leap. LED multi-reflector headlamps, NEXTre LED DRLs with follow-me-home functionality, automatic headlamps, painted alloy wheels, and a rear view camera all arrive here, pushing the car's visual and functional presentation well past the steel-and-halogen units below.

The 1.2L NA engine continues in both MT and AGS form, but the notable sub-variant is the Delta+ DiTC at ₹8.91 lakh.

The 'DiTC' tag refers to the 1.0L Dual Injected Turbo Boosterjet, the exact same 100 PS / 147.6 Nm engine that powers the Zeta and Alpha, equipped with its mild-hybrid torque assist system that fills in power from as low as 2,000 rpm.

This makes Delta+ DiTC the lowest-priced entry into the Fronx's turbo powertrain by roughly ₹79,000 over the next turbo option.

Note that Maruti Suzuki is also working on a Flex Fuel version of the Fronx, along with a hybrid version that was recently spotted.

However, what's absent are TFT colour instrument cluster, rear wiper, wireless charger, rear AC vents, height-adjustable driver seat, and Suzuki Connect, all coming to Zeta.

For buyers who want the driving experience over the convenience package, Delta+ DiTC MT is the most focused pick in the range.

What features does Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta+ add/upgrades over Delta?

The Delta+ brings LED headlamps, alloy wheels, a reverse camera and the option of the turbo-petrol engine.

Fronx Zeta Model

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Zeta NEXA Blue (Celestial) Front Side View

Who Should Buy The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Zeta Model?

Zeta is exclusively turbo-powered and the comfort additions over Delta+ are major. They include wireless smartphone charging, rear AC vents with USB-A and USB-C fast-charging sockets, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a sliding front armrest with storage, push-button start with smart key, a TFT colour multi-information display, tweeters, a rear wiper and washer, and the full LED rear lamp with centre LIT strip.

The feature list is further improved by a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, front footwell illumination, chrome interior door handles, and the complete Suzuki Connect suite, which includes live tracking, geofencing, remote door lock functionality, and vehicle status alerts.

The Zeta AT at ₹10.98 lakh is the strongest all-round variant for city-heavy use, as the 6-speed torque converter pairs nicely with the Turbo engine, and Remote AC pre-conditioning via Suzuki Connect, available exclusively on AT variants, is a practically useful feature in warm climates.

However, the Zeta withholds ARKAMYS audio, HUD, cruise control, 360-degree camera, UV-cut glass, and precision-cut alloys, which form the entirety of Alpha's value argument.

If a 360-degree camera is a must at this budget, check out our list of the most affordable cars under ₹10 lakh that offer one.

What features does Maruti Suzuki Fronx Zeta add/upgrades over Delta+?

The Zeta rounds things out with connected car tech, wireless charging, rear AC vents and push-button start.

Fronx Alpha Top Model

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Alpha Opulent Red + Black Front Side View

Who Should Buy The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Alpha Model?

Alpha's additions over Zeta are less and is focused on audio quality, driver information, and park assistance rather than comfort features, which Zeta already handles well.

The screen steps up to 22.86 cm (SmartPlay Pro+), the ARKAMYS Surround Sense system delivers a more immersive audio experience than the 4-speaker configuration, and the colour HUD projects speed and navigation cues directly onto the windshield, removing the need to look away from the road during highway driving. The 360-degree camera also comes here.

However, if you prefer Dolby Atmos audio system in your car, you may check our list of cars that come with these.

Additional Alpha exclusives include cruise control, UV-cut window glass, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, precision-cut alloy wheels (a visible finish upgrade over painted), an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and dual-tone exterior colour availability.

The Alpha MT at ₹10.55 lakh is a interesting case, as it's ₹85,000 cheaper than the Zeta AT while delivering the complete top-spec feature set, making it the clear choice for manual transmission buyers who want nothing left out.

Meanwhile, the Alpha AT at ₹11.83 lakh is the complete variant for those who need Remote AC pre-cooling, paddle shifters, and the full feature package.

What features does Maruti Suzuki Fronx Alpha add/upgrades over Zeta?

The Alpha crowns the range with a 360-degree camera, head-up display, premium audio system and precision-cut alloys.
