Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the 2026 Brezza facelift, introducing the first major update to the second-generation SUV nearly four years after it first arrived in India. While the overall design remains familiar, the facelift focuses on meaningful upgrades where buyers will notice them the most.
The SUV gets a brand-new 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, a new 6-speed manual gearbox across all manual variants, additional comfort and convenience features, enhanced safety equipment and a redesigned CNG system that frees up boot space.
The updated Brezza continues to target one of India's most competitive SUV segments and rivals models such as the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, Kia Syros and Skoda Kylaq.
Price, Variants and Booking Details

The 2026 Brezza is available in four familiar variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+.
Maruti Suzuki has announced a starting price of Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom) for the newly introduced turbo-petrol variant. Prices for the naturally aspirated petrol and CNG versions will be announced separately.
Bookings for the facelifted SUV are now open across Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships and through the company's official website. Customer deliveries are expected to begin shortly after the complete price list is revealed.
Exterior Design Receives Subtle Yet Effective Updates

Instead of giving the Brezza an all-new appearance, Maruti Suzuki has chosen to refine its design while retaining the SUV's upright proportions and rugged stance.
The front fascia receives the most noticeable changes. A redesigned grille now features a dark chrome connecting strip between the LED headlamps, giving the SUV a wider visual presence. The bumper has also been redesigned with larger triangular fog lamp housings, fresh dark chrome detailing and a revised faux skid plate that looks more premium than before.
The LED projector headlamps and signature L-shaped daytime running lights have been retained, although the fog lamps now sit slightly higher within their redesigned housings.
From the side, the Brezza continues with its muscular wheel arches, floating roof effect and silver roof rails. Maruti has added fresh dual-tone body cladding along the doors while introducing a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels that gives the SUV a sharper profile.
Buyers can choose from Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red, Bluish Black, Vivacious Orange (new), Lustrous Beige (new), Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver. The newly introduced Vivacious Orange and three dual tone options.
The rear remains largely unchanged, retaining the familiar LED tail lamps. The primary update here is a revised bumper featuring a larger silver skid plate, making the facelift distinguishable without altering the SUV's identity.
| Specification | Measurement |
|---|---|
| Length | 3,995 mm |
| Width | 1,790 mm |
| Height | 1,685 mm |
| Wheelbase | 2,500 mm |
Cabin Gets Premium Upgrades

The dashboard layout remains familiar, but Maruti Suzuki has introduced several subtle upgrades that significantly improve cabin quality.
The dual-tone black and brown dashboard continues, although the silver inserts from the outgoing model have now been replaced with gloss black trim pieces. The seats receive fresh brown leatherette upholstery, creating a more premium ambience than before.
Practicality has also improved. The facelift introduces a sliding front centre armrest with additional storage, revised climate control switches, a cooled glovebox and redesigned rear winged headrests for improved passenger comfort.
The overall cabin continues to feel spacious, with generous legroom and headroom for both front and rear occupants.
One of the biggest upgrades in the facelift comes in the form of new technology and convenience features.

The infotainment system has grown from 9 inches to 10.1 inches, with the latest SmartPlay Pro X interface supporting built-in navigation, Alexa voice commands, wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.
Maruti has also introduced ventilated front seats, which have become one of the most requested features in this segment. Buyers also get 64-colour ambient lighting, an air purifier with PM2.5 filter and AQI display, plus active cooling for the wireless phone charger.
Existing premium features such as the heads-up display, automatic climate control, cruise control, connected car technology, wireless charger, electric sunroof and six-speaker Arkamys sound system continue unchanged.
Despite these additions, the Brezza still misses out on a panoramic sunroof, powered driver's seat, fully digital instrument cluster and premium branded audio system that are available on several rivals.
Safety Package Gets Stronger

Maruti Suzuki has expanded the Brezza's safety equipment significantly.
The SUV continues with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.
The facelift adds several new driver assistance and convenience features including front parking sensors, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Safe Exit Warning, Emergency Stop Signal and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
The Brezza also continues to carry its 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, making it one of the safest compact SUVs currently on sale in India.
New Turbo Petrol Headlines the Powertrain Updates

The biggest mechanical update arrives under the bonnet.
Maruti Suzuki has introduced the 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, replacing the performance gap that previously existed in the Brezza lineup. Borrowed from the Fronx, this three-cylinder turbocharged engine develops 110 PS and 170 Nm, making it considerably stronger than the naturally aspirated petrol engine, particularly in terms of torque.
It is paired exclusively with a new 6-speed manual transmission.
The familiar 1.5-litre K-Series naturally aspirated petrol engine continues with mild-hybrid technology and remains available with both manual and automatic gearboxes.
The factory-fitted CNG version also returns, but now receives a new underbody-mounted dual-cylinder setup. This frees up luggage space that was previously occupied by the CNG cylinder inside the boot.
One notable change is the removal of the spare wheel. Like the recently launched Victoris, the Brezza CNG now comes with a puncture repair kit instead.
| Engine | Power | Torque | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.0-litre Boosterjet Turbo Petrol | 110 PS | 170 Nm | 6-speed MT |
| 1.5-litre Petrol Mild Hybrid | 103 PS | 139 Nm | 6-speed MT / 6-speed AT |
| 1.5-litre Petrol CNG | 88 PS | 121.5 Nm | 6-speed MT |
Claimed Mileage

Maruti Suzuki has also revealed the ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures for every powertrain.
| Variant | Claimed Mileage |
|---|---|
| 1.0 Turbo Petrol LXi/VXi | 20.47 kmpl |
| 1.0 Turbo Petrol ZXi/ZXi+ | 19.96 kmpl |
| 1.5 Petrol Manual LXi/VXi | 21.09 kmpl |
| 1.5 Petrol Manual ZXi | 20.81 kmpl |
| 1.5 Petrol Automatic | 20.17 kmpl |
| 1.5 CNG | 26.90 km/kg |
What Still Feels Missing?
Although the facelift addresses several shortcomings of the outgoing model, a few omissions remain.
The Brezza still lacks a panoramic sunroof, which has become increasingly common in the segment. A fully digital instrument cluster would have modernised the cabin further, while a powered driver's seat and premium branded sound system would have strengthened its appeal against feature-rich rivals like the Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
