Best New Features In 2026 Brezza Facelift

The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift is much more than a cosmetic refresh. While the SUV retains its familiar design, Maruti Suzuki has introduced meaningful upgrades across performance, technology, comfort, safety and practicality.

The facelift finally brings a turbo-petrol engine, a larger infotainment system, several new driver assistance features, an improved CNG layout and a more premium cabin.

Here's a detailed look at the biggest new features that make the updated Brezza a stronger contender in the compact SUV segment.

1.0-litre Boosterjet Direct Injection Turbo-Petrol Engine

The headline update on the 2026 Brezza is the introduction of Maruti Suzuki's new 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct-injection turbo-petrol engine. Producing 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque, it offers significantly better low and mid-range performance than the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The additional torque makes city driving easier, while highway overtakes require less effort. It also gives the Brezza a performance-oriented option to better compete with rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO, all of which already offer turbo-petrol engines.

6-Speed Manual Transmission

Maruti Suzuki has replaced the outgoing 5-speed manual gearbox with a new 6-speed manual transmission across all manual variants. The extra gear helps reduce engine RPM while cruising at highway speeds, improving refinement and reducing engine noise. It also allows the turbo-petrol engine to make better use of its torque, resulting in smoother acceleration and a more relaxed driving experience over long distances.

Underbody Dual-Cylinder S-CNG Technology

Maruti Suzuki has significantly improved the practicality of the Brezza CNG by introducing its latest underbody dual-cylinder S-CNG technology like in Victoris. Unlike the previous setup, where the CNG cylinder occupied a large portion of the boot, the new twin-cylinder arrangement is mounted underneath the vehicle.

This frees up valuable luggage space, making the CNG variant far more practical for families and long-distance travel.

To accommodate the new layout, the conventional spare wheel has been removed and replaced with a puncture repair kit.

SmartPlay Pro X Infotainment and Connected Technology

One of the biggest cabin upgrades is the new 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X HD infotainment system, replacing the previous 9-inch display. The larger screen offers improved graphics, quicker response times and a more intuitive interface. It supports wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, allowing users to connect their smartphones without cables.

The updated system also integrates built-in navigation, enabling drivers to access maps directly through the infotainment display without relying on smartphone connectivity. Another major addition is Amazon Alexa Built-in, allowing voice commands for navigation, music, weather updates and compatible smart home devices.

The Brezza continues to offer Suzuki Connect connected car technology, giving owners access to remote vehicle monitoring, trip analytics, geofencing, emergency alerts and several convenience functions through a smartphone app.

The technology package is further enhanced by a wireless charger with Active Cooling, which prevents smartphones from overheating while charging, especially when wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay are in use.

The Heads-Up Display (HUD) continues to project important driving information onto a transparent display in the driver's line of sight, while the Arkamys-tuned six-speaker sound system delivers a more immersive audio experience.

Ventilated Seats

Ventilated front seats make their debut on the Brezza with the 2026 facelift. Air is circulated through the seat cushions to keep occupants cooler during hot weather, significantly improving comfort on long drives and daily commutes. This feature has become increasingly popular in the compact SUV segment, and its addition brings the Brezza in line with several premium rivals.

PM2.5 Air Purifier with AQI Display

Recognising the growing concern around urban air pollution, Maruti Suzuki has equipped the facelifted Brezza with a PM2.5 air purifier integrated into the climate control system. The system continuously filters harmful airborne particles entering the cabin and displays the Air Quality Index (AQI) in real time, allowing occupants to monitor cabin air quality throughout their journey.

64-Colour Ambient Lighting

The cabin now feels considerably more premium thanks to the addition of 64-colour ambient lighting. Drivers can customise the cabin lighting to suit their preferences, enhancing the overall ambience, particularly during night driving. While primarily a cosmetic feature, it adds a modern and upscale feel to the interior.

Level 1 ADAS and Advanced Safety Features

The 2026 Brezza introduces several new Level 1 ADAS and advanced safety technologies, making it the most technologically advanced Brezza yet.

The new Blind Spot Warning system alerts the driver whenever another vehicle is travelling alongside the SUV but remains hidden in the mirrors, making lane changes safer. Rear Cross Traffic Alert monitors approaching traffic while reversing out of parking spaces and warns the driver if another vehicle is approaching from either side.

Maruti has also added Safe Exit Warning, which alerts occupants if a vehicle or cyclist is approaching from behind before a door is opened. This is particularly useful on busy city roads where opening a door unexpectedly could lead to an accident.

Parking assistance has improved with the addition of Front Parking Sensors, complementing the existing rear parking sensors and making tight parking manoeuvres easier. The facelift also gains a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that continuously monitors tyre pressure and alerts the driver if any tyre becomes underinflated.

These new systems work alongside the Brezza's existing safety equipment, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and its 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift focuses on meaningful upgrades rather than dramatic design changes. The new Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine finally gives the SUV stronger performance, while the upgraded SmartPlay Pro X infotainment system, expanded Level 1 ADAS suite, improved S-CNG technology and premium comfort features make it a far more rounded package than before.

Combined with Maruti Suzuki's widespread service network, proven reliability and strong resale value, these updates ensure the Brezza remains one of the most compelling options in India's highly competitive compact SUV segment.
