Sierra rivalling looks

The all-new Seltos follows Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy. It represents the Relentless Innovator theme by mixing rugged SUV strength with a polished, modern attitude. The stance is wider, the surfaces are sharper, and the proportions feel more capable.
Key dimensions are 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height and a 2,690 mm wheelbase. This gives the cabin a noticeably more spacious layout.
The front has a wider grille with Kia’s star map lighting signature and a dynamic welcome sequence. The flush door handles improve aerodynamics and are automatic. The side view uses diagonal character lines, a floating roof and bold shoulder contours leading to large rear all-LED lights
Contrasting cladding and satin silver are available as standard
The rear uses vertical tail lamps connected across the tailgate to underline the width and stability.
Kia will offer X Line and GT Line trims. X Line brings dark gun metal accents and tougher garnish elements, while GT Line has a sportier, cleaner aesthetic. Two key colours highlighted at the premiere include Morning Haze and a matte Magma Red, with 10 standard colours for the new Seltos. An X line design package is also on sale for selected Seltos GT variants.

No three screens, but That's OK, it has a single 30 inch screen!

The Dual 12.3-inch widescreens are the highlight here on base models and come with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital key and a very handy rear occupant sensor. So far, Kia has revealed a black and white interior colour for higher-end models, while base models will likely get standard cloth seats
Top models get a 30-inch screen with 90 connected car features, and a clever in-app feature that lets you live stream your car getting serviced and live mechanic consultation
A wide, horizontal dashboard improves visibility and adds a feeling of openness. Optimised packaging increases headroom and legroom for all passengers.
Kia has shifted to a column-type Shift by Wire system. This clears the centre console and improves practicality. Premium materials and a minimalistic layout give the interior a calm, modern look.
Convenience highlights include a wide panoramic sunroof, 64 colour mood lighting and second row seats that recline by up to 24 degrees.
Audio upgrades come from Bose audio. Other unique features in the 2026 Kia Seltos are rear sunshades, dual Type-C ports front and rear and 60/40 split seats.
160 PS is pretty much the highlight here

The updated Seltos keeps its familiar trio of engines, each tuned to suit a different kind of driver. The lineup opens with the 1.5-litre petrol making 115 hp and 144 nm, available with a 6-speed manual.
The 1.5-litre turbo petrol steps things up with 160 hp and 253 nm, paired with either a 6-speed IMT for clutch-free control or a quick-shifting 7-speed DCT.
For buyers who spend long hours on the highway, the 1.5-litre diesel continues with 116 hp and 250 nm, matched to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic that delivers steady torque and relaxed cruising.
The GT Line sits above it with GTX and GTX(a), adding sportier styling cues and a few extra features. The X Line, which brings a darker, more premium blackout look, remains exclusive to the GT Line variants.
Kia is also offering a 7-year extended warranty,
Hopefully, Seltos will get 5 star in safety this time
Kia has reinforced structural safety with extensive use of ultra-high strength and hot-stamped steel.
The Seltos features a comprehensive ADAS suite that includes Highway Driving Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist 2, Safe Exit Warning, Surround View Monitor, Parking Collision Avoidance Assist Reverse and full parking distance warnings for the front, side and rear. 6 airbags are standard across the variants.
A head-up display projects key driving information directly onto the windshield. Technology continues with a panoramic display setup using two 12.3-inch screens and a dedicated climate panel. The new Kia AI assistant offers natural, conversational interaction.
Over-the-air updates keep features current, and Digital Key 2 allows secure smartphone-based access and sharing.
Practical touches include a class-leading 536 litre luggage capacity, a foldable dual-level cargo board and the Kia AddGear accessory system that helps owners organise daily essentials.
Expected Launch
Bookings open from 10th December for ₹25,000, and deliveries will start from January 15, 2026.
Tough Competition Awaits
The new Kia Seltos will challenge the Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Renault Duster, and the Mahindra XUV 7XO.
