Ather Showcases EL01 and Redux Concepts at Community Day 2025

Ather Energy’s Community Day 2025 turned into a landmark moment for the Bengaluru-based EV maker. The company didn’t just pull the covers off two new concept scooters it also unveiled its EL platform, a scalable architecture that will power its next generation of electric two-wheelers.

 Designed for flexibility, the EL platform supports multiple body styles, battery packs of up to 5kWh, and aims to cut maintenance costs nearly in half. Ather confirmed that the first EL-based scooter will roll out during the festive season of 2026, along with Ola's next gen of EVs

EL01

The EL01 concept served as the first real-world demonstration of what the EL platform can deliver. With its sturdy steel unibody frame, the scooter promises both strength and cost efficiency. It packs in rider-friendly features such as a roomy flat floorboard, twin-helmet storage under the seat, and full LED lighting. 

Ather has also integrated the charger directly into the scooter, eliminating the need for bulky external units. The emphasis here is on simplicity, serviceability, and modularity qualities that could make future EL-based models both affordable and easy to maintain.

Redux

Styled like a moto-scooter hybrid, the Redux stands out with sharp creases, a split 3D-printed seat, and a steeply raked tail section reminiscent of a performance motorcycle. But the real story lies in its tech. The scooter introduces a vertically mounted screen running on MorphUI, a system that allows deep customisation of the interface. 

Its haptic throttle adds an entirely new layer of interaction, giving riders physical feedback for low battery warnings, overspeed alerts, or acceleration thresholds. Pair that with adjustable suspension and a “Take-off mode” that lowers the center of gravity for sharper handling, and you have a concept that feels both futuristic and genuinely rider-focused.

Stack 7.0

The software powering Ather’s ecosystem has also received a major upgrade. Stack 7.0 introduces voice commands, pothole alerts, emergency crash detection, and live navigation updates. In a nod to India’s cricket-crazy audience, the system can even flash live match scores on the scooter’s display. 

These features not only enhance safety and convenience but also show how Ather is integrating digital intelligence into the everyday riding experience.

Halo Helmet

Even Ather’s smart helmet has seen a big revamp. The Halo, once priced at nearly ₹10,000, is now available in two affordable trims the Halo Bit at ₹2,999 and the standard Halo at ₹4,999. Both connect seamlessly with Stack 7.0 to offer navigation guidance, theft alerts, music playback, and Bluetooth calling. 

They also switch to USB-C charging, replacing the older wireless charging system. By slashing the price and broadening functionality, Ather is making sure smart gear is within reach for a wider audience.

With these announcements, Ather is signalling its intent to cover both ends of the market. On one side, the EL platform will help the brand compete in the sub-₹1 lakh bracket where volumes lie. 

On the other, high-tech experiments like the Redux concept show Ather’s determination to keep pushing the boundaries of design and innovation. 

Backed by smarter software and an expanding ecosystem, the company is laying down a strong foundation for the next phase of India’s electric mobility story.
