Compact on the outside, surprisingly loaded on the inside, the new Kia Sonet doesn't do things by half. Its bold tiger-nose grille and aggressive styling, three engine, up to six transmission options, a dual 10.25-inch screen setup, 6 airbags across every single variant, ADAS on the higher variants, and Kia Connect with 70+ features. All of that in a sub-4-metre body that looks meaner than most.

The Kia Syros is offered across a range of variants priced from ₹10.60 Lakh to ₹19.70 Lakh (ex-showroom), the Syros provides a choice between a 1.0L turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine. Transmission options include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed DCT. Key features that stand out across the lineup are a panoramic sunroof and ventilated seating.

Kia’s next Sonet has been spied testing in India, hinting at a major redesign with a wider grille, new lighting, updated alloys, and a likely 2027 or even 2028 launch for India buyers.

Sonet Facelift

The second-generation Kia Seltos combines bold styling, a new platform, a spacious and tech loaded cabin, three engine choices paired with multiple transmissions, a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite, and a strong 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

The standard Kia Carens continues in India as a simplified, single-variant budget MPV, stripped down to its essentials after the launch of the premium Carens Clavis rendered its higher trims redundant. What remains is a genuinely spacious and well-rounded seven-seater with two engine choices and a factory-fitted CNG, six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and Kia's cabin quality, at a price well below the Clavis.

Carens

The Kia Carens Clavis is the most comprehensively equipped seven-seater in its price bracket, combining three ICE powertrain options, a factory-fitted CNG choice, Level 2 ADAS in upper trims, dual 12.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, Bose audio, and ventilated front seats, all in a bold, crossover-styled package that brings noticeably more design intent to the MPV category.

The Kia Sonet (2020-2024) was available with three engine options, a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. A segment leader on features, it consistently outsold most rivals. Discontinued on 12 January 2024, it was replaced by the facelifted Sonet with updated styling, new interior colours, and a revised feature set.

The Kia Seltos (2019-2023) offered 1.5-litre petrol, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines with a wide range of transmission options. This along with a feature-laden cabin and strong build quality made it the segment benchmark within months of launch. Discontinued in July 2023, it was replaced by the facelifted Seltos with a new dual-screen interior, ADAS, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a much revised exterior.

The Kia Seltos in its 2023 facelift form was discontinued and replaced by the all-new third-generation Kia Seltos, which launched in India on 2 January 2026 and brings a new design, updated cabin and revised powertrain options.
