The 2026 Glanza replaces its outgoing 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a three-cylinder Z12E unit. It produces 83 PS and 112 Nm, paired with a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT.

The CNG version produces 70 PS and 102 Nm in gas mode. The addition of an AMT option to the CNG lineup is one of the facelift's more major changes, giving buyers an alternative to the manual gearbox while retaining the lower running costs associated with CNG.

The 2026 Toyota Glanza offers different claimed mileage figures depending on the fuel type and transmission.

The petrol AMT has a higher claimed fuel efficiency figure than the manual, while the CNG versions offer substantially lower fuel costs for buyers who cover long distances regularly.

The Toyota Glanza retains its dual-tone beige and black cabin layout. The overall dashboard design remains familiar, with the free-standing touchscreen, three-spoke steering wheel and gloss-black inserts carried over from the previous model.

The main updates concern equipment. Ventilated front seats and a wireless phone charger join the feature list, while the nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, head-up display and automatic climate control continue to be among the headline conveniences.

The Glanza also retains rear AC vents and USB charging ports. Its 318-litre boot provides a useful amount of luggage space for a premium hatchback, although the available boot capacity of the CNG version has not been officially confirmed yet.

The facelift brings most of its exterior changes to the front. Toyota has fitted a larger honeycomb mesh grille, repositioned the Toyota logo towards the top of the fascia and revised the bumper with sharper contours and silver accents.

The side profile remains largely unchanged, although the car gets a new chrome garnish on the front fender and a shark-fin antenna.

The headlamps and tail lamps carry over from the outgoing model, and the rear bumper retains its existing design.

The 2026 Toyota Glanza gets additional driver assistance and monitoring technology as part of the facelift. The headline addition is Level 2 ADAS, accompanied by a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Other equipment include six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist and ISOFIX child-seat anchors. A 360-degree camera and rear parking sensors continue to assist with parking in tight spaces.

The addition of Level 2 ADAS is a notable update for the Glanza, although its individual functions and availability across variants should be checked against Toyota's latest official equipment list.

The Glanza had not received a Bharat NCAP crash-test rating at the time of launch. Its safety equipment should therefore not be confused with an independently verified crash-test score.

The Toyota Glanza competes with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz in India's premium hatchback segment.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the Glanza's closest rival because both models share their fundamental platform, engine and much of their equipment. The choice between them is likely to depend on variant pricing, styling preferences, dealership experience and ownership considerations.

The Hyundai i20 offers a different cabin design and a wider range of petrol powertrain choices, including a turbo-petrol version in the N Line range. The Glanza counters with its CNG option and claimed fuel efficiency figures.

The Tata Altroz is another alternative for buyers who prioritise safety credentials and a different design. It also offers a diesel engine, which the Glanza does not.

The Glanza's facelift strengthens its case with ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS and the addition of a CNG-AMT combination. Its final value proposition will depend on the prices and equipment of comparable variants.
