Toyota Glanza Facelift vs Maruti Baleno Facelift Differences Explained
By Arjun Nair
Published October 14, 2026

Quick Read - The Toyota Glanza facelift gets a honeycomb grille, beige and black cabin, and Toyota i-Connect, while the Maruti Baleno facelift features a 3D-detailled NEXWave grille, black and blue cabin, and Suzuki Connect with Alexa support. The outgoing Baleno scored 4 stars in Bharat NCAP, while the Glanza remains untested.
The new facelifts of the Toyota Glanza and Maruti Baleno share their engine, platform, dimensions and most features, so the differences are few. They sit in the front styling, cabin theme, colours, connected services and the badge you buy.
Here is every difference worth knowing.
Design and Styling Differences

The face is the clearest difference. The Glanza uses a honeycomb mesh grille inside a bold chrome frame, with the Toyota logo on a chrome strip above it and a sharper bumper with silver accents.
The Baleno goes for a larger NEXWave grille with three-dimensional detailing, chrome accents and a sculpted bumper. It looks classier and calmer, while the Glanza looks sportier and more aggressive.
Side and rear are near identical. Both get a chrome fender garnish, a shark fin antenna and carried-over 16-inch alloys, so from the back you will need to read the badge.
| Design Element | Toyota Glanza Facelift | Maruti Baleno Facelift |
|---|---|---|
| Grille | Honeycomb mesh in bold chrome frame | NEXWave with 3D detailing and chrome |
| Logo | On a chrome strip above grille | Above grille |
| Front bumper | Sharper, with silver accents | Sculpted |

Interior, Cabin and Safety Differences

The cabin is where Toyota and Maruti differ most after the face. The Glanza keeps its dual-tone beige and black theme, meanwhile the Baleno sticks with black and blue with silver highlights.
The layout, touchscreen and wireless connectivity are shared, but Toyota calls its screen Smart Playcast and Maruti uses SmartPlay Pro Plus.
Connected services use different apps and voice assistants. Toyota i-Connect offers Hey Siri compatibility and the Hi Toyota assistant, while Suzuki Connect offers Alexa skills and the Hi Suzuki assistant. Suzuki Connect is subscription-based, so check its free period.
On the safety end, the outgoing Baleno scored 4 stars from Bharat NCAP and the facelift is expected to match it. The Glanza facelift has just launched, so its rating remains unconfirmed.
| Difference | Toyota Glanza Facelift | Maruti Baleno Facelift |
|---|---|---|
| Cabin theme | Beige and black | Black and blue |
| Touchscreen name | Smart Playcast | SmartPlay Pro Plus |
| Connected app | Toyota i-Connect | Suzuki Connect |
| Voice assistant | Hi Toyota, Hey Siri compatibility | Hi Suzuki, Alexa skills |
| AEB detail | Not specified | Car, motorcycle, pedestrian, bicycle |
| Bharat NCAP | Not tested | Outgoing model scored 4 stars |

Colour Differences
Colours are similar in spirit but named differently. The Glanza adds Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black, while the Baleno adds Enigmatic Teal and keeps Bluish Black from before.
Teal is our pick on both cars. It is the one shade that instantly marks the facelift out from the older car, and it suits the new grille treatment well.
| Colour Family | Toyota Glanza Facelift | Maruti Baleno Facelift |
|---|---|---|
| Teal green | Digital Teal Green | Enigmatic Teal |
| Red | Sportin Red | Opulent Red |
| Blue | Insta Blue | Nexa Blue |
| White | Cafe White | Arctic White |
| Silver | Enticing Silver | Splendid Silver |
| Grey | Gaming Grey | Grandeur Grey |
| Black | Bluish Black | Bluish Black |
Variants and Prices
The Toyota Glanza facelift starts at Rs. 6.99 lakh, while the Maruti Baleno facelift has a lower starting price of Rs. 6.10 lakh. The Glanza's top-spec V(O) variant costs Rs. 10.49 lakh. Compare the variant-wise prices below before deciding which hatchback offers better value.
| Variant | Toyota Glanza Facelift | Maruti Baleno Facelift |
|---|---|---|

| S / Delta | Rs. 7.71 lakh | Rs. 6.99 lakh |

| V / Alpha | Rs. 9.99 lakh | Rs. 9.09 lakh |
| V(O) / Alpha (O) | Rs. 10.49 lakh | Rs. 9.49 lakh |
Ownership Differences
Warranty is identical at 3 years or 1 lakh km, whichever comes first. The Baleno is sold through Nexa showrooms, while the Glanza is sold and serviced at Toyota dealerships.
Maruti still has the larger sales and service network in India, which helps in smaller towns. Toyota counts over 1,450 touchpoints across 900 plus cities, so check the nearest workshop before booking.
Toyota also shows a Glanza accessory kit with a fog lamp garnish, door visor, rear lamp garnish, ambient door sill guards and 3D floor mats. It is a handy way to personalise the car at the dealership.
| Ownership Point | Toyota Glanza Facelift | Maruti Baleno Facelift |

| Sold through | Toyota dealerships | Nexa showrooms |

Which One Should You Pick?
Pick the Glanza if you want the louder face, the lighter beige cabin and a Toyota badge on a first car. It will stand out more in traffic.
Pick the Baleno if you prefer the cleaner NEXWave grille, the black and blue cabin, the Nexa experience and the larger service network. It also gets Alexa support through Suzuki Connect.
Mechanically you lose nothing either way. Since both also rival the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz, compare final ex-showroom and on-road quotes, along with dealer service, before you decide.
