Toyota has expanded the Rumion range with a new entry-level E variant, priced at Rs. 9.56 lakh (ex-showroom).
This addition effectively brings the Rumion's starting price down by Rs. 95,000 compared to the previous entry-level S variant, making the MPV more competitive in its segment.
The Rumion now comes in four main variants - E, S, G, and V.
| Variant | Key Features Highlights | Ex-showroom Price (₹ lakh) |
|---|---|---|
| E (MT) (New) | Steel wheels, manual AC, halogen projector headlamps | 9.56 |
| S (MT) | 4-Speaker audio system, steering-mounted audio controls, height-adjustable driver seat, rear wiper, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs | 10.51 |
| S CNG (MT) | Same as S + factory CNG kit & dual-fuel gauge | 11.40 |
| G (MT) | 7-inch touchscreen (wired Android Auto/Apple CarPlay), auto AC, rear camera, front fog lamps | 11.64 |
| S (AT) | Same as S (MT) + 6-speed AT with paddle shifters | 12.05 |
| V (MT) | Cruise control, auto headlamps, leather-wrapped steering, key-operated retractable ORVMs, TPMS | 12.39 |
| G (AT) | Same as G (MT) + 6-speed AT with paddle shifters | 13.11 |
| V (AT) | Same as V (MT) + 6-speed AT with paddle shifters | 13.86 |
The new E variant is offered exclusively in a petrol-manual powertrain, with no automatic or CNG option available. It retains the standard 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, delivering 103 hp and 137 Nm of torque.
To achieve the sub-10 lakh price tag, Toyota has removed certain interior and exterior features.

The E trim misses out on even a standard music system, steering-mounted controls, driver’s centre armrest, second-row AC vents, and body-coloured door handles and ORVMs.
Buyers still receive essential equipment, including halogen projector headlamps, a dual-tone interior, manual air conditioning, and standard safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.
The new E variant is now available at Toyota dealerships across India. It will directly compete with the Maruti Ertiga's base, LXi variant.
