Toyota Rumion New Base Variant Launched at Rs 9.56 Lakh

Toyota has expanded the Rumion range with a new entry-level E variant, priced at Rs. 9.56 lakh (ex-showroom).

This addition effectively brings the Rumion's starting price down by Rs. 95,000 compared to the previous entry-level S variant, making the MPV more competitive in its segment.

The Rumion now comes in four main variants - E, S, G, and V.

The new E variant is offered exclusively in a petrol-manual powertrain, with no automatic or CNG option available. It retains the standard 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, delivering 103 hp and 137 Nm of torque.

To achieve the sub-10 lakh price tag, Toyota has removed certain interior and exterior features.

The E trim misses out on even a standard music system, steering-mounted controls, driver’s centre armrest, second-row AC vents, and body-coloured door handles and ORVMs.

Buyers still receive essential equipment, including halogen projector headlamps, a dual-tone interior, manual air conditioning, and standard safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.

The new E variant is now available at Toyota dealerships across India. It will directly compete with the Maruti Ertiga's base, LXi variant.
