Toyota Glanza Facelift Debuts on October 14, Expected With New 3-Cylinder Engine and Level 2 ADAS

Toyota's rebadged Baleno is due for a facelift. The refreshed Glanza is set to debut in India on October 14, 2026, according to dealer sources, arriving about a month after the Baleno facelift it is based on went on sale.
The Engine Is the Biggest Change
The biggest change is expected to be under the bonnet, with Toyota likely to replace the current K12N 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine with the Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated unit from the facelifted Baleno, and earlier in the Swift and Dzire.
The new engine makes 83 hp and 112 Nm and will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The 70 hp CNG variant with a manual gearbox is also expected to carry over.

Expected Exterior Changes
As with the current model, the Glanza is expected to retain a Toyota-specific front fascia despite sharing the Baleno's basic architecture. The changes are likely to be limited to a redesigned grille and revised front bumper, while the lighting, alloy wheels and rear bumper are expected to remain unchanged.
What Features Are Coming and What Are Not
Inside, the cabin layout is not expected to change, but the facelift is likely to bring new features such as Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, a ventilated wireless phone charger and a tyre pressure monitoring system, to compete closely with the facelifted Baleno.
However, a sunroof and digital driver's display are not expected to be part of the update.

Price and Competition
The facelifted Glanza is expected to carry a slight price premium over the current Rs 6.73 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh range. It will continue to compete with the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20 in the premium hatchback segment, along with the Baleno, on which it is based.
