BMW Why?Audi Who?Mercedes What? These kinds of questions are usually asked by Camry owners who have endless praises for the Toyota's giant killer. It has endured every bump and pothole our Indian roads can handle while returning a staggering 17 kmpl!
Performance Or Lack Thereof?
The All-New Camry Hybrid is powered by a 2.5L Dynamic Force Engine, engineered to deliver a perfect balance of power and efficiency. Coupled with Toyota’s 5th generation hybrid system, it offers an impressive claimed fuel efficiency of 25.49 km/l making it the ideal choice for eco-conscious drivers. Toyota has not provided any power numbers but going by the one that is sold overseas expect it to be around 230 horsepower.
The Camry Hybrid comes equipped with an e-CVT (electronic continuously variable transmission), available in multiple driving modes such as Sport, Eco, and Normal, allowing you to adjust the car's performance to suit your driving style. A 10-speed Sequential Shift mode adds to the fun, providing a manual-like driving experience for those who crave more control behind the wheel.
Hammerhead Styling

The Camry Hybrid is designed to turn heads on the road. The bold new look, under the concept of "Energetic Beauty," features a redesigned front bumper and a tall, wide lower grill. The design may be a bit too bold for legacy owners of Camry but that road-hugging stance and slammed look, Camry is known for is very much present in spades.
There is a new Precious Metal, Dark Blue, Cement Grey, Emotional Red, Attitude Black, and Platinum White Pearl.
Spacious and Luxurious Interior
Step inside, and you’ll immediately notice the luxury that surrounds you. Most Camry owners will never even touch the steering in the ownership period as it is meant to be a chauffeur-driven affair.
As such the cabin boasts spacious seating with soft leather upholstery in an all-new Yellow Brown color, adding a touch of elegance to your driving experience. The ornamented instrument panel and the piano's black front console box create a refined and sophisticated atmosphere. The new Camry also has Moonroof for the first time.

“The launch of the All-New Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle is an exciting milestone for us in India. Mr. Sabari Manohar - Vice President-Toyota Kirloskar Motor
Toyota has emphasized comfort with features such as a 3-zone climate control system, ventilated front seats, and a must-have Ion Generator for enhanced air quality and freshness. The power-adjustable driver and passenger seats with lumbar and ventilation are present but are missing for rear passengers.
The rear passengers enjoy a premium experience too, with a rear armrest equipped with touch controls for audio, seat recline, sunshade, and climate control.
The 12.3-inch large touch screen is present along with a 360-degree camera. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can access your favorite apps and music with ease. While the 9-speaker JBL audio system (which somehow looks pedestrian to the 1400-watt orchestra in Mahindra’s XEV 9E) is also there
Advanced Safety Features
Toyota has given the Camry autonomous-ish capabilities with TSS 3.0 that has
- Pre-Collision System (PCS)
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
- Lane Departure Alert (LDA)
- Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
Pricing and Availability
