Honda ACTIVA e:
The ACTIVA e is here to replace the legend that started the scooty craze in India. The all-LED front and rear lights along with sleek front and rear indicators with pastel colors give it a fresh, futuristic vibe.
It has flush footpegs and rolls on 12-inch wheels with dual telescopic shocks front and a 3-step adjustable mono-shock rear suspension. The wheels are shod with 90/90-12 front and 110/8-12 tires.
The Activa e comes with a standard front disc measuring 160 mm and a 130mm rear drum brake, not bad for a budget electric scooty whose exact price will be revealed soon. Ground clearance is at 171 mm and seat height is very accessible at 675 mm.
Powering the ACTIVA e are two swappable 1.5 kWh waterproof Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries, which provide a solid 4.2 kW (5.6 hp) of continuous power and can hit a peak of 6.0 kW (8 hp) with 22nm of torque. The new Activa e weighs 118 kg, add a kilo more for RoadSync trim.
Honda claims an 80 kmph top speed and a rather rapid 60 kmph time of 7.3 seconds. They have also tweaked the motor battery efficiency for our local conditions and claim an IDC-verified 102 km of range. Activa-e comes with a 3-year/ 50,000 km warranty, which pales in comparison to Chetak's 8-year optional warranty add-on.

You can also choose from three driving modes—STANDARD, SPORT, and ECON—depending on your mood or the road ahead. Plus, there's a reverse mode to make parking a breeze. While we are yet to see it in person, keeping in mind the swappable battery tech, the luggage room will be a luxury. But you do get a USB port, 2 front pockets, and a keyless start feature.
The Honda’s RoadSync Duo trim comes with a 7-inch display as opposed to a 5-inch standard dash, which lets you connect your phone via Bluetooth to use calls and navigation while riding. The dash is powered by 6 GB RAM and can hit 1000 units of peak brightness. It also has diamond-cut alloys.
The Activa-e will compete will Ola S1 Air, Ather Rizta, and Chetak EV.
The Activa e will be sold via Red Wing dealers and Honda has already made more than 80 battery swapping stations in Banglore, with more to come for us in the Delhi-NCR region. The exact prices for battery swapping and Activa-e are TBD. You can book Activa e: from January 1, 2025, with deliveries starting by February 2025
Honda QC1

The QC1 is destined for students and hyperlocal delivery companies like Swiggy, Zomato, etc. It comes with a 1.5 kWh li-on fixed battery and an 80 km range that’s not only long-lasting but also charges easily at home.
Under the hood, it has a compact in-wheel BLDC motor with a super slow 1.2 kW output and a peak of 1.8 kW (1.6 -2.4 hp). The power is hilariously low but for quick zipping in urban jungle, it just might be enough. It has dual drums front and rear measuring 130 mm and 110mm mounted on a smaller 10-inch rear wheel and 12-inch front wheel.
The QC1 also has a 33W charger and tops to 80 percent in just 4hr 30 min while a full charge takes 2 hours more.
Surprisingly, aside from power and range it sounds like a pretty good deal at least on the spec sheet. The QC1 gets a massive 26L boot with a 1.45 L glove box capacity.
The QC1 has a similar design as its Active e-brother. The 3-inch LCD shows everything you need, like speed and battery level. It also has an under-seat compartment to store your helmet and other small items.
