New venue Looks like A Baby Creta

As much as Hyundai is relishing the raging success of its now GOATED Creta, the onslaught of sub 10 lakhs SUVs has done quite the opposite for its sub-compact Venue.

The baby Creta has failed to capture the audience unlike its much memed big brother, which despite being 3 lakhs dearer managed a solid 18,000 units sold last month compared to about 11,000 for Venue

The only reason I can come up with its rather timid sales number is its rather lackluster feature set when compared to compact kings like Nexon, which also boasts a world class 5-star GNCAP rating. The lattermost is something that Hyundai’s portfolio sorely needs as almost every carmaker has now jumped onto the 5-star bandwagon

This all might change though, as Hyundai has finally decided to buckle up its rather loose compact SUV pants with the much-anticipated Hyundai Venue facelift.

They have just teased its front fascia, which looks much more imposing than before with a wide rectangular grill, flanked by massive light signatures on either side and a Verna style LED bar on top, which fingers crossed won't blind oncomers like its sedan cousin

Every media outlet has speculated heavily on what the new venue will have. A new infotainment (possibly Android based), brand new design, with similar powertrains as the last gen is the common consensus among all.

We are pretty confident after going through numerous spyshots that a couple of high-res interior displays, level 2 ADAS and a laundry list of connected car features will come as standard.

Q1: What is the price of the new Venue?

The upcoming Hyundai Venue is expected to be priced between ₹8.5/9 lakh to ₹15 lakh, depending on the variant and features. This pricing keeps it competitive against rivals like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Brezza.

Q2: Which engines will the new Venue have?

The new Venue is expected to continue with the same proven engine options. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices are likely to include a five-speed manual, six-speed iMT, and seven-speed DCT.

Q3: When will the new Venue launch?

The updated Hyundai Venue is expected to launch in India around November 2025, just in time for the festive season.
