Mercedes-Benz India posted its best-ever monthly sales for the period, with 5,119 units retailed across the quarter. This impressive performance reflects a 36% jump from September 2024, driven largely by groundbreaking GST 2.0 reforms and the vibrant energy of the Navratri festival. As India's luxury car market continues to evolve, these factors combined to unlock pent-up demand and boost customer confidence at just the right time.

"Mercedes-Benz clocked its best-ever September sales owing to an overwhelming customer response following the GST 2.0 reforms, culminating the pent-up demand,"
This September's success also propelled Mercedes-Benz to its highest quarterly figures for Q2 FY 25-26. With steady demand pulling from both the "Core Luxury" segment, which includes popular models like the C-Class and GLC, and the "Top-End Luxury" lineup, the company saw balanced growth across its portfolio.
The majority of credit for these record-breaking sales should be given to the new GST reforms, which slashed rates on luxury vehicles and eased financial burdens for buyers. These changes couldn't have come at a better time, just as festive preparations ramped up.

What made September 2025 truly shine were the standout sales in high-end models. Flagship models like the GLS SUV, AMG G63, and S-Class, all achieved their best-ever monthly numbers, drawing buyers who crave power, luxury, and personalisation.
Mercedes-Benz's battery electric vehicle (BEV) portfolio grew by 10% year-on-year, achieving an 8% penetration in overall sales volume. The EQS SUV led the charge with record sales, while the limited-edition G 580 with EQ Technology sold out completely for the year. Bookings for the next delivery slot are already underway, suggesting strong demand for Mercedes-Benz's high-tech EVs.
The September success was not a one-off; it's part of a bigger picture for Mercedes-Benz India, which has been steadily expanding its footprint through localised production and innovative financing. While competitors like BMW and Audi follow a similar route, Mercedes-Benz's blend of heritage, technology, and market savvy gives it a clear edge.
