XL6 Zeta

Zeta makes the most financial sense if you're clocking serious kilometres every day. It's the only variant in the XL6 lineup that can be had with a factory-fitted CNG for almost around ₹1 lakhs extra.
For a family running long daily commutes across city limits, that alone pays back the price difference over time.
The rest of the package is no slouch either.

What's Common Across All Maruti Suzuki XL6 Variants?
Regardless of the variant, the XL6's mechanical foundation stays identical. Every model features a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine (103PS/137Nm) paired to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The Smart Hybrid system keeps fuel consumption in check.
Now here’s the worrying bit, despite having 6 airbags, ABS and the usual suite of three letter safety abbreviations like ESP, EBD etc, the safety rating for XL6 is pretty poor at 3 stars.
It’s not the worst, but not something to brag about either. The safety MPV standard is pretty expensive in the ₹25 lakh range like Invicto and Innova Hycross, so please bear that in mind, especially as MPVs are generally used to carry large families.

Should I Buy the Maruti Suzuki XL6?
| Consider XL6 if | Don’t consider XL6 if |
|---|---|
| You want a Nexa-fied version of Ertiga with ventilated seats, AC vents and 6 seats. | You want a 7-seater without the gimmicks of captain chairs etc, Ertiga is way cheaper at around 8.80 lakhs and gets the job done of carrying people and luggage around. |
| Spending, 2.7 lakhs more for 2-3 convenience features like captain seats and ventilated seats is justified | You only drive alone or with 1 another passenger most of the time, that super long body has a long turning radius. |
| You want a refined 4-cylinder engine with more than enough torque, CNG is also on the table for you. | You are worried about your safety, it has a 3-star rating. |
| You want a dealership network that is no more than 5 km away in any direction. | You want a usable third-row seat for proper adults (Carens wins here). |
| You need to chauffer VIP clients, or a starting you own premium cab company | You want a sunroof, it’s all everyone wants today anyways. |
| You need good long-term average, 20 KM on CNG is achievable. | You think, it miles ahead of everything, the NEXA premium experience is limited to a typical showroom coffee and blue colors, in reality. |
