Quick Read - JSW Combat SUV to be unveiled on 4 December. Based on the Jetour T2, it is expected to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a claimed 90km electric range.
JSW Motors is expected to show its first SUV, the Combat, on 3 December 2026. This is an unveil rather than a full market launch, and the company is separate from JSW MG Motor India.
Jetour T2-Based Design and Expected Features
The Combat is based on the Chery Jetour T2, with the pre-facelift design expected for India. Boxy proportions, 20-inch alloys and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel give it a rugged stance. Revised bumpers and headlamps should set it apart from the international model, along with new Combat badging.

Inside, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch (or 10.6-inch) driver’s display, powered front seats and a 12-speaker Sony system are expected. Safety is expected to include six airbags, a 540-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS.
360hp PHEV Powertrain and Claimed Range
Power is expected to come from a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and two electric motors, making 360 hp and 610 Nm. An 18.4 kWh battery offers 90 km of electric range on the NEDC cycle, with up to 1,100 km claimed on a full tank and charge.
It is expected to be front-wheel drive only, with no diesel or four-wheel-drive option, a notable choice for such a boxy SUV. India-spec details remain subject to final confirmation.
JSW plans two more SUVs in 2027, based on the Jaecoo J5 and iCaur V23.
Expected Price and Rivals
The Combat is expected to cost Rs 30 lakh to Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom. Rivals include the Kia Sorento, Toyota Fortuner and MG Majestor.
