Base Model Volkswagen Taigun Comfortline Is Now 84,000 Cheaper
All but the base model of Taigun have got an 4000 price increase, Virtus Comfortline drops by 66,000 while the rest of the models have got a price hike

All Volkswagen Taigun variants have seen a uniform ₹4,000 price increase for 2026, except the base Comfortline MT. The affected trims include Highline MT, Highline AT, Highline Plus MT, GT Line MT, Highline Plus AT, GT Line AT, Topline MT, Topline AT, GT Plus Chrome MT, GT Plus Sport MT, GT Plus Chrome DCT and GT Plus Sport DCT. In contrast, the Comfortline MT becomes cheaper by ₹84,000, with its price dropping from ₹11.42 lakh to ₹10.58 lakh, making it the only Taigun variant to avoid the price hike.

Volkswagen has increased Virtus prices for 2026 across nearly the entire lineup. The steepest hike of ₹51,000 is applied to the Highline AT and GT Line MT variants, while Highline Plus trims see increases between ₹45,000 and ₹46,000. Higher performance GT Plus variants record hikes ranging from ₹27,000 to ₹31,000, whereas the Topline AT sees a marginal increase of just ₹2,000. The only variant to get cheaper is the base Comfortline MT, which receives a price cut of ₹66,000, bringing its ex-showroom price down to ₹10.50 lakh.
