Published May 22, 2025

Tata Motors has officially launched the much-awaited 2025 facelift of its premium hatchback, the Altroz, starting at ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This update marks the first significant refresh since the Altroz's debut in 2020.
The facelift brings with it a host of significant cosmetic enhancements, updated features, and additional gearbox options while retaining the existing engine lineup. Tata aims to keep the Altroz firmly in contention by blending sharper design, richer tech and enhanced safety into its Aluminium Lightweight Front and Rear Architecture (ALFA) platform.
The new pricing marks a ₹24,000 increase over the outgoing model’s entry price of ₹6.65 lakh. The Altroz is now offered in a new trim structure aligned with Tata’s ‘Personas’ strategy and is available in four trims – Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished S. Tata has confirmed that bookings for the 2025 Altroz will open from June 2, with deliveries expected to begin shortly thereafter.
This facelift aims to bolster its position against tough competitors like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza. However, we feel that this facelift slots the Altroz, a segment above the competition.

What's New in the 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift?
In the period leading up to the launch, Tata Motors released a series of teasers focusing on the revamped interior.
According to us, the Altroz Facelift is more than a facelift, we would happily take this for being a completely new generation of the hatchback. Tata has tried to work on every aspect where the Altroz did or did not falter earlier. Here’s a small look on what has changed:

- A larger 10.25” touchscreen (Same as Nexon Facelift)
- New Digital cluster with improved UI
- A Voice-Operated Sunroof
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

- Ambient lighting for a premium feel
- Touch-based HVAC, 2-spoke steering w/ Tata logo
- 360° camera, sunroof, new dual-tone upholstery
- New Gearknobs for Automatic variant

- A white LED ambient-light strip stretching across the fascia
- Slimmer air-vent surrounds
- Better under thigh support on the front and rear seats
A Bolder Face: Exterior Refinements
The signature Impact 2.0 design language shines through an aggressive, gloss-black front grille framed by C-shaped LED DRLs and sleeker headlamps.
- A very aggressive EV-like front grille that
- Sleeker headlamps and fog lamps
- Redesigned alloy wheels
- Infinity LED-based tail lamps
- New Color Options Include - Dune Glow and Ember Red
Tech & Safety: Confidence Behind the Wheel
The older Tata Altroz boasted a Five-Star rating even in its previous avatar. Safety remains a priority with the inclusion of:
- Six airbags
- 360-degree Surround View Camera
- Cruise control
- Tata's iRA connected car technology with Remote Start
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and hill-hold assist are standard on higher trims
These additions aim to provide a safer and more connected driving experience.
Rather than lead with styling alone, Tata ignited excitement by peeling back the cabin curtain in a series of teasers weeks before launch. Early glimpses hinted at a cleaner dashboard layout, —details that emphasised a more premium, driver-focused environment.
Subsequent teasers went deeper: a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a voice-operated sunroof, ventilated front seats and Tata’s latest 10.25-inch infotainment system (first seen on the Nexon facelift) all made cameo appearances, whetting appetites for the official reveal.
Outwardly, the Altroz wears its mid-cycle nip-and-tuck confidently. Redesigned diamond-cut alloy wheels and subtly flared wheel arches impart a more athletic stance.
We are definitely in love with the fresh set of changes on the New Tata Altroz. Don’t forget to share this article with your Tata loving/hating friends.
