Vida VX-Z Inspired Zero Lompico Design Teased

Design sketches of Zero Motorcycles’ upcoming Lompico have surfaced online, offering a clearer look at the electric motorcycle ahead of its official debut. The bike was first showcased as a concept at EICMA 2025 and shares its core platform with the Hero Vida VX-Z.

Both motorcycles stem from a collaboration between Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles.

Zero Motorcycles is an American electric motorcycle manufacturer, and has established itself as a leader in the performance EV motorcycle segment with models like the SR/F and SR/S. The brand has a proven track record in electric racing, including the Isle of Man TT Zero.

Both the Zero Lompico and Hero Vida VX-Z are expected to use the same technical foundation. They will be powered by the Z-Force 75-5 electric motor, which delivers 30 kW (40 hp) and works with a new 8.8 kWh battery pack.

Both models will also feature a steel tubular frame along with shared suspension, brakes, wheels, and battery packaging.

Despite the common underpinnings, the two bikes have distinct styling. The Vida VX-Z adopts a classic roadster design, while the Lompico features a sharper, more futuristic and aggressive look with angular bodywork, winglet-style panels around the headlamp, and a slimmer tank section.

Hero previously described the VX-Z as a collaboration with Zero but did not share much technical details. The two-wheeler giant has already filed design patents for the VX-Z in India, suggesting a production version targeted at the domestic market.

Reports indicate both models could be manufactured in India, though the Zero Lompico may only be an export model.

The “Lompico” name may not be used in production. Trademark filings suggest Zero could instead adopt the SF moniker. Similarly, the Vida VX-Z name is likely to change for the final model, as it currently references the Hero-Zero partnership.
