  • Differences Between 2026 Street 220 VS Cruise 220

Bajaj has relisted the Avenger Street 220 with pricing expected to be announced soon. The model has been updated to meet the latest emission norms, while retaining its design and mechanicals as before.

It was discontinued during the BS6 transition in 2020, while going on-sale sometime in 2023, then was again discontinued last year due to the pending OBD-2B emission update and low demand.

Additionally, the Street 160 has now been discontinued on the Bajaj site, leaving buyers with only choices between the relisted Street 220 and the existing Cruise 220 bike.

Here's everything you need to know:

Differences Between 2026 Street 220 VS Cruise 220

The relisted Street 220 does get any mechanical or performance and feature changes from the pre-discontinued 2023 model. Instead, the model is now E20 fuel compatible, with updated compliance for 2026.

It shares the same platform as the Cruise 220, featuring a 220cc oil cooled single cylinder DTS-I engine that produces 19 hp and 17.55 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Most other mechanicals are also identical.

The differences lie with the Street 220 leaning towards being sporty with its street control handlebar, sporty pillion backrest, and black alloy wheels. It also uses tubeless tyres, has no fuel reserve, a lower seat height of 1070 mm, and a lighter 160 kg kerb weight. It is offered in bold shades like Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red.

Meanwhile, the Cruise 220 is features a highway comfort handlebar, a cushioned pillion backrest, and classic spoke wheels. It runs tube-type tyres, gets a 3.8-litre fuel reserve for added touring practicality, has a taller seat height of 1321 mm, and weighs around 3 kg more than the Street. Its color options include Auburn Black and Moon White.

While the ex-showroom price for the Street 220 is expected to be announced soon, the Cruise 220 starts at ₹1,28,891.
