The MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV is India's first plug-in hybrid SUV. It combines a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine with a 148 kW electric motor and a 20.5 kWh battery, giving it a claimed electric range of over 115 km and a total range of more than 1,100 km. It is available only as a 7-seater in two variants.

The MG 4 EV has been on India's radar since its Auto Expo 2023 debut, and a launch is still anticipated. Globally, it's a purpose-built electric hatchback with rear-wheel drive, up to 64kWh battery, and a WLTP range of up to 450km, quite unlike anything else in its expected price bracket here.
