Positioned as a futuristic compact or mid-size electric vehicle, it will likely offer a range between 450 km and 600 km on a single charge. Built on the advanced INGLO platform, the Vision X is expected to feature a high-tech cabin with dual-screen setups, Level 2 ADAS safety, and multiple battery options ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh. With an estimated price band of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 25 lakh, it will compete directly with the Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta EV.

competition

Upon its launch, the Mahindra Vision X will enter a highly competitive segment of the Indian EV market. Its primary rival will be the Tata Curvv EV, which also offers a coupe-SUV silhouette and long-range battery options. Another significant competitor is the Hyundai Creta EV, which is expected to bring the trust and feature-rich cabin of the standard Creta to the electric segment. The Maruti Suzuki eVX, which is slated for a similar launch timeline, will also challenge the Vision X with its focus on efficiency and Suzuki's massive service network. In the slightly higher price bracket, the MG ZS EV will remain a competitor, especially with its recent updates and established presence in the market. Comparisons will likely be drawn based on real-world range, where Mahindra’s 80 kWh option might give it an edge over the 45-55 kWh batteries typically found in its rivals. Additionally, the Vision X will have to compete with its own sibling, the XUV400, although it is expected to be much more advanced in terms of technology and platform efficiency. Buyers will likely weigh the Vision X’s 175 kW fast-charging capability against the slower charging speeds offered by some of the current segment leaders.
