VinFast has been making strides all over the world for its affordable EVs, and it looks like the Vietnamese auto manufacturer has now set its sights on the Indian market.
The VF6 has recently been spotted in Mumbai being tested in camouflage by Carwale. Given that it was recently showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January, it would be a safe bet to assume that VinFast might start rolling out these EVs soon.
VinFast VF6

The VinFast VF6 packs a 59.6 kWh battery pack that powers a single motor on the front axle. As for power output, the VF6 produces peak power and torque output of 204 hp and 310Nm respectively. Going from 0-100 km/h in just 8.89 seconds, the VF6 has a total range of 480 km.
While we are not sure about the exact specifications for the official model for India, the model showcased in the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 suggests that the VinFast VF6 follows a dual-tone color scheme and 12.9-inch infotainment screen. The VF6 also offers a series of features Level 2 ADAS, 360-surround view camera, head-up display, and dual-zone climate control.
Expected Launch
VinFast has been preparing for its arrival in the Indian market for a while, as they recently set up their first manufacturing plant in India. The brand has also been making efforts to introduce its charging infrastructure subsidiary, V-Green charging solution, for which it will collaborate with local partners, with Tata Power being the first to join hands with the Vietnamese manufacturer.
With full-scale production expected to begin from the end of June, we can expect the VinFast VF6 to be announced anytime soon.
