VinFast has officially entered the Indian electric vehicle market with the launch of its first two models, the VF6 and VF7. This debut marks an important step for the Vietnamese automaker as it sets its sights on becoming a key player in one of the world’s fastest-growing EV markets
Both SUVs bring a mix of competitive pricing, modern features, and local assembly, giving buyers fresh alternatives in a segment dominated by a handful of established brands.
Vinfast VF6 Specs And Price
The VF6 is the more compact of the two and is available in three trims. The entry-level Earth is priced at ₹16.49 lakh, the Wind comes in at ₹17.79 lakh, and the top-spec Wind Infinity is pegged at ₹18.29 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom.
Despite its relatively accessible pricing, the VF6 doesn’t cut corners. It features a 59.6 kWh battery that delivers a range of up to 468 kilometres on the WLTP cycle, putting it right in the sweet spot for urban as well as highway users. It rivals cars like Creta Electric, BE6 and E-Vitara.
Performance is adequate for its class, with higher trims capable of reaching 100 km/h in under nine seconds. Inside, buyers get a premium cabin equipped with a large 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, advanced driver assistance features, and a 360-degree camera.
Vinfast VF7 Specs And Price

For customers seeking a larger SUV with more muscle, the VF7 arrives as the more versatile sibling. It is offered in five trims, starting with the Earth at ₹20.89 lakh and stretching up to the fully loaded Sky Infinity at ₹25.49 lakh. Between these, there are options like the Wind, Wind Infinity, and Sky.
The VF7 comes with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, with power outputs ranging from 201 hp in the lower variants to as much as 345 hp in the top trims. Buyers can also choose between two battery packs, a 59.6 kWh unit and a larger 70.8 kWh option, with ranges varying from 431 km to 532 km depending on the configuration.
Every VF6 and VF7 comes with complimentary charging until July 2028, three years of free maintenance, and a generous warranty seven years or 200,000 kilometres for the VF6 and ten years or 200,000 kilometres for the VF7.
VinFast has also tied its India plans closely with local development. Both models are being assembled at its new facility in Tamil Nadu, supporting the Make-in-India initiative and ensuring competitive pricing. To support its customers, the company is rapidly expanding its retail and after-sales presence with 35 dealerships and 26 workshops already planned.
Partnerships with local service providers for roadside assistance, charging infrastructure, and even battery recycling further strengthen its ecosystem approach.
