- The new BMW M2 has officially been launched in India as a CBU model, priced at INR 1,03,00,000 (ex-showroom).
- Optional are new paint colors and Alcantara steering
- Makes 480 hp and has an optional manual
BMW M2 is here with some modest but noteworthy changes. It now has an expanded color palette of Alpine White, M Zandvoort Blue, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Fire Red, Portimao Blue, Sao Paulo Yellow, and Skyscraper Grey. The exterior is more palatable when compared to BMW’s, recent design malices.
You can also get the expensive M Sport Pro package which has M Carbon Roof, M Lights Shadowline, M Compound Brakes, Red and M Carbon Fibre Trim.
The frameless kidney grille the black exhaust tailpipes and the M2 logo with silver accents at both the front and rear are standard. The M Sport wheels (19”/20”) with staggered configuration and throwback-esque M light-alloy wheels in Silver finish, with blue or red colors. Sadly BMW only offers mixed-use tires for India. Here they measure Front: 275/35 ZR19, Rear 285/30 ZR20), limiting M2’s full potential in the interest of safety.

The BMW Curved Display includes a 12.3" Digital Instrument Cluster and a 14.9" Central gauge running on the BMW iDrive system and Operating System 8.5. You get a standard Leather Vernasca Black with optional stitching choices in blue, exclusive black highlights, or red accents. If you want something more exclusive, Leather Merino with an M Carbon Bucket seat setup is optional.
The rear seats offer ample space, with a 40:20:40 split-folding backrest for extra luggage capacity when needed.
Under the hood, the new BMW M2 is powered by a massaged inline 6 delivering an impressive 480 hp and 600 Nm of torque (with the automatic transmission) or 550 Nm with the manual(purists rejoice!) via an Active diff.

With a 0-100 km/h time of just 4.0 seconds (automatic) and 4.2 seconds (manual), the new M2 is built for pure driving thrill. The M Driver's Package boosts the top speed to 285 km/h but is optional for some reason, if you are paying like 1 cr+ for a car (2X its US sibling), you should get every bell and whistle. The only other car with a bit of sportiness akin to M2 is the RS5 but the latter is 30 lakhs more and has 440 hp.
