Inside, the Tiago EV receives a completely redesigned dual-tone dashboard layout. The hatchback now comes with a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a partially digital TFT instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth functionality.
Tata says the upgraded E&E architecture allows the Tiago EV to support over 40 connected car functions. The hatchback also gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents, a cooled glovebox, auto-folding ORVMs, height-adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-speaker audio system.
The cabin additionally gets new door pads, grey fabric upholstery, a front centre armrest and a redesigned centre console finished in gloss black with dual wireless charging pads. While the two-spoke steering wheel has been retained, it now receives an updated Tata.ev logo.
Safety And Structure
Safety has also been significantly upgraded on the new Tiago EV. The hatchback now gets six airbags as standard, replacing the earlier dual-airbag setup. Other safety features include ESP with traction control, hill hold assist, TPMS, torque vectoring by braking, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
The Tiago EV also comes equipped with a 360-degree camera featuring multiple viewing modes and a blind-view monitor. Features such as automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and follow-me-home headlamps are also offered.
Tata Motors says the structural rigidity of the hatchback has also been strengthened for improved crash protection. The EV additionally benefits from a near 50:50 weight distribution setup for better driving balance and stability.
