Which Tata Sierra EV powertrain should you choose?
The 63 kWh RWD version is aimed at buyers looking for the most affordable Sierra EV. With a claimed MIDC range of 565 km and 238 PS, it should comfortably handle daily commuting as well as occasional highway trips. It is offered in the Pure, Pure S, Adventure and Empowered variants.
Stepping up to the 75 kWh RWD version brings a larger battery and increases the claimed range to 627 km while giving you less output at 209 ps likely due to the fact that 75 kwh Sierra ev uses rear motor borrowed from QWD Sierra EV which has same spec rear motor but the front motor on it adds 140 PS.
Very weird but technically makes sense.
This makes it the ideal choice for buyers who regularly undertake long-distance journeys and want fewer charging stops. It is available from the Adventure variant onwards.

The flagship 75 kWh AWD version adds a second electric motor on the front axle, taking the combined output to 209 plus 140PS and 500 Nm. It is also the quickest Sierra EV, sprinting from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds.
Along with the performance boost, Tata claims the highest MIDC range of 665 km. This powertrain is exclusive to the top-spec Empowered A variant.
Overall, the 63 kWh model offers the best value for city-focused buyers, the 75 kWh RWD strikes the best balance between price and driving range, while the dual-motor AWD version is designed for customers who want maximum performance, better traction in challenging conditions, and every feature Tata offers on the Sierra EV.
