Tata Sierra EV Covers 702 Km in Range Test Ahead of Launch

In what seems to be the final teaser of Sierra EV capabilities before its official launch today at 4:30 PM, Tata has conducted an in-house range test of the Sierra EV. They did it with three different types of consumers, and here are the results.

Now, given the Wh/km efficiency rating, it looks like the bigger battery pack is a 70 kWh+ unit.

Since 107 Wh/km and 703 km means 107 × 703 / 1000 = 75.2 kWh battery, taking into account the range test conducted by the automotive expert.

An Automotive Expert702 km14 hrs00%107 Wh/km
A Family565 km11 hrs~76546%140 Wh/km

The other two tests returned close to around 140-150 Wh/km, with a healthy amount of SOC left, the participants apart form the automotive expert did charge the EV during the test run

Tata also claims the Sierra EV can add up to 200 km of range in 15 minutes at a 120-kW charging point, same as the Harrier EV.

Do keep in mind these were marketing range tests conducted in controlled conditions, but taking into account the average of all three, we can expect a real-world range of around 500-520 km from the Sierra EV top-of-the-line version as the Harrier EV with much more power delivers around 480 km consistently

Now, given the best rule of maintaining battery health is to keep it between 20-80 percent, your usable range window is around 300-350 km.
