Tata Motors has achieved a strong start with the new Sierra.
The company has delivered over 20,000 units of the SUV across India in under three months since deliveries began.
The Tata Sierra was launched in late November 2025, with customer deliveries starting in mid-January. In the first month alone, over 7,000 units were sold.
The numbers rose steadily, crossing 10,000 in about six weeks and reaching the 20,000 mark by the end of March.
Bookings also opened strongly, with more than 70,000 units reserved on the very first day.

Its design pays respect to the original Sierra from the 1990s while adding a modern, bold look with full-width LED lighting and a spacious cabin.
The SUV stands out with modern features such as a triple-screen dashboard, panoramic sunroof, level-2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and a premium 12-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos.

Priced from Rs 11.49 lakh up to Rs 21.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the Sierra comes in seven variants.
It offers a choice of three 1.5-litre engines - a naturally aspirated petrol, a turbo-petrol, and a diesel. Gearbox options include a manual, DCT, or a torque converter automatic.

Tata Motors manufactures the Sierra at its Sanand plant and is working to increase production to meet the high demand. The company has already noted supply challenges due to strong interest.
The Sierra rivals other compact SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, new Renault Duster, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and the Maruti Victoris.
Tata is expected to launch the Sierra EV in May.
