Skoda Kushaq Facelift Top Features

Skoda has finally unveiled the Kushaq facelift, building on the original model with refreshed styling, new features, and improved transmissions. It targets buyers seeking a blend of European design, performance, and value in the competitive segment. Available in variants like Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo, it offers flexible engine options.

Sleek and Sharper Design

The exterior adopts Skoda's Modern Solid language. The front features a wider grille with chrome ribs and an illuminated light band, new LED headlights with eyebrow DRLs, LED fog lamps, and a redesigned bumper. 

The new 17-inch alloy wheels are the only obvious change on the side. The rear has connected LED taillights, with illuminated Skoda lettering and sequential indicators, and a new bumper. Overall, it is a perfectly designed facelift with no polarising elements, and should appeal to everyone. 

 It comes in multiple colours, including three new options, Cherry Red, Shimla Green and Steel Grey. Monte Carlo variants get a dual-tone paint scheme, giving a sporty and distinctive look.

Interior and Comfort Features

The cabin offers a premium feel with soft-touch materials and a dual-tone theme. It includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver and a 10.1-inch infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The infotainment system integrates the Companion App with voice control powered by Gemini AI for functions like navigation and media.

Comfort highlights include six-way electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, rear massage seats, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, ambient lighting, and a Skoda sound system. Interestingly, a single-pane sunroof is standard right from the base variant. Other features include cruise control and multiple USB ports for hassle-free charging on the go.

Solid Powertrain Options Unchanged

The Kushaq facelift retains its turbo-petrol engines. The 1.0-litre TSI delivers 115 hp and 178 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual or a new segment-first eight-speed automatic. The bigger 1.5-litre TSI offers 150 hp and 250 Nm, exclusively with a seven-speed DSG automatic. 

Both engines provide smooth and peppy performance for city and highway drives.

Strong Safety Credentials Continue

Safety is strong with six airbags as standard across variants, along with ABS, EBD, ESC/ESP, and hill-hold assist. Additional features include front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, TPMS, rain-sensing wipers, and auto-dimming IRVM. All-wheel disc brakes come standard on the 1.5 TSI.

While ADAS and a 360-degree camera are still missing, it maintains a five-star Global NCAP rating from the pre-facelift model, as its platform remains unchanged.

Prices for the Kushaq facelift are expected soon, with competitive positioning against segment rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Volkswagen Taigun, which is also due for a facelift soon.
