The all-new 2026 Kia Seltos is a major update over the outgoing model. It looks sharper and more confident on the road with an upright stance and a bold front end. The Seltos now sits on Kia’s advanced K3 platform, which gives it more length, wheelbase and cabin space compared to before.
Its design is boxier and more modern, with a prominent tiger-nose grille, vertical LED DRLs, flush door handles and refreshed taillamps that wrap across the rear. Inside, the focus is on tech and comfort with dual 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment, a separate 5-inch climate control panel, ambient lighting and quality materials throughout. Safety is solid with six airbags, level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera and electronic parking brake with auto-hold.

Under the hood, the powertrain lineup is familiar but versatile. You get the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol for everyday driving, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol for stronger performance and a 1.5-litre diesel for high-mileage users. Gearbox options span 6-speed manuals, intelligent manuals (iMT), CVT, 7-speed dual-clutch and a 6-speed automatic on diesel. This mix suits buyers who want anything from relaxed city driving to efficient long-distance cruising.
On the outside, the new Seltos measures a bit larger than the previous generation, meaning more shoulder room and legroom inside. The SUV gets 16-inch to 18-inch wheel options depending on the variant, and higher trims boast a panoramic sunroof and gloss black cladding that add premium touches. Interior design takes cues from Kia’s recent EV6, with a driver-centric layout and physical controls where it matters most.
In today’s compact SUV segment, the new Seltos stands against strong rivals that offer different strengths. The Hyundai Creta remains a close competitor with a similarly packed feature set and proven reliability. Tata Sierra is much more stylish but 50K more
Other options include the Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Skoda Kushaq(upcoming), Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor, each offering a different balance of performance, technology and comfort.
