New Kia Seltos 2026 Top 10 Features Explained

The Kia Seltos is set to make waves in India's midsize SUV market once again with its all-new avatar, launching on January 2, 2026.

This second-generation model brings a bolder design, more space, and a host of advanced features that build on the success of its predecessor. With bookings already open, early interest is high. Ex-showroom prices are expected to start around ₹12 lakh, going up to ₹21 lakh.

Here are the top 10 features that make the new Seltos a strong contender against rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Tata Sierra.

Flush-Fitting Automatic Door Handles

The 2026 Kia Seltos introduces sleek, automatic, streamline door handles that flush seamlessly with the body when not in use. Available in higher trims like HTK and above, these handles give the car an upmarket appeal and are easy to operate.

They pop out when you approach the car with a key fob or sensor, making entry effortless. Overall, these handles blend style and function perfectly for daily use.

Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof

The new Seltos’s dual-pane panoramic sunroof is a major highlight, spanning the cabin for an open-air feel without glare. Its double-layered glass blocks UV rays and heat, keeping the interior cool even on hot days.

It is ideal for family trips, letting in ample natural light, and making the cabin feel very airy.

64-Colour Ambient Lighting Setup

The 64-colour ambient lighting enhances the cabin in customizable hues and is controlled via the infotainment screen.

Integrated into the doors, dashboard, and footwells, it highlights leatherette trims without being flashy, creating a premium lounge vibe.

This setup not only enhances aesthetics but also aids visibility in low light.

Twin Screen Display

The key highlight of the interior is the connected Trinity Panoramic Display, featuring twin 12.3-inch screens for the driver information cluster and infotainment, plus a 5-inch AC control panel between the two.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity with OTA (over-the-air) updates keep it new, turning the Seltos into a rolling tech hub for tech-savvy families.

Bose Premium 8-Speaker Audio System

Audiophiles will love the Bose 8-speaker premium audio system (HTX variants and above), delivering clear sound and deep bass across the cabin.

Tuned for the Seltos' acoustics, it fills every corner with immersive sound, perfect for podcasts, playlists, or calls.

Active noise cancellation improves NVH levels, ensuring fatigue-free listening. Integrated with the infotainment, it supports high-res streaming via Bluetooth or USB.

Versatile Powertrain Options

Kia Seltos Engine Options

The Seltos carries over its versatile engine and gearbox options.

A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (113 BHP, 144 Nm) paired with a 6-speed MT or CVT for smooth city drives.

A punchy 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (158 BHP, 253 Nm) paired to a 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT for the enthusiasts.

A torquey 1.5-litre diesel (114 BHP, 250 Nm) mated to a 6-speed MT or torque converter AT for highway cruising and efficiency.

Paddle shifters and three drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) enhance the driving experience.

Level 2 ADAS with 21 Safety Features

Safety takes centre stage with Level 2 ADAS, offering 21 autonomous aids like adaptive cruise control with stop-go, lane keep assist, and forward collision avoidance with junction turning.

Available in HTX(A) and higher, it uses cameras and radars for proactive alerts. Blind-spot monitoring and highway driving assist reduce fatigue on long hauls.

Integrated with the drive modes, it also features traction control for sand, mud, or snow.

Fortunately, six airbags, ESP, and Hill Start Assist come standard - features even some SUVs from a higher segment miss out on in their base variants.

Parking is made simple with the 360-degree camera, with the guided overlays and dynamic guidelines aiding precise manoeuvres.

Higher trims add blind-spot monitors for lane changes. Waterproof and distortion-free, it works in the rain and at night.

This feature shines in India's crowded streets, offering confidence to all drivers and protecting the car from minor mishaps.

Advanced Connected Car Features

Kia’s Connect 2.0 app includes remote diagnostics, OTA updates, and geofence alerts. The app enables tracking the car’s location, fuel status, and service needs.

Owners can also lock/unlock the doors, precondition the AC from afar, and get speed and idle alerts. Secure and user-friendly, the system also integrates voice commands in multiple languages.

Ventilated Front Seats and 10-Way Powered Driver Seat

Kia Seltos Seats

The ventilated front seats with three-step intensity settings help beat the heat in hot summers. The 10-way powered driver seat with lumbar adjustment and memory readjusts to your perfect position.

The leatherette upholstery feels plush yet durable. GTX trims include integrated memory for two users. Rear seats get dedicated AC vents as well.

Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold

The electronic parking brake with auto hold is a premium addition and functions efficiently on inclines and hills. The absence of a physical handbrake lever frees up a lot more space for storage.

While these 10 features cover the key essentials, the Seltos also packs extras like a heads-up display for important info on the windshield, wireless phone charging, and a cooled glovebox.

Built on Kia’s new K3 platform, it offers more space with a longer wheelbase, higher ground clearance, and more boot space.
