Looks like Verstappen’s rant earlier this season finally pressured the FIA into making F1 fun again. Thanks to McLaren’s astronomically insane development team, Mercedes’ new found woes, and Ferrari’s voracious appetite for podiums, we have a pretty good F1 season lined up.

Note-Kimi Antonelli got penalised for a black-and-white flag violation after the race.

From Lap 1 to 5,

the start of the Miami Grand Prix was intense with Lando Norris launching cleanly from pole after McLaren brought major upgrades, holding off immediate pressure. Charles Leclerc got a strong getaway and managed to move ahead of Kimi Antonelli early on, while Oscar Piastri slotted in just behind his teammate to secure a solid 1–2 formation.

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were immediately drawn into a tight scrap, with Hamilton pulling off an overtake by Lap 2. Meanwhile, Leclerc complained about Antonelli moving under braking. Ferrari’s straight-line speed and rear wing dance was a joy to watch.

Early drama saw retirements for Nico Hülkenberg and Arvid Lindblad, while the McLaren pair executed a near-perfect opening phase, maintaining control all the way till end

From Lap 5 to 10

Norris, Piastri, Leclerc, Antonelli, and Russell rounded out the top five, all within five seconds of each other. On Lap 6, Verstappen complained he couldn’t brake as the wind changed direction, with a strong tailwind heading into Turn 11. Hamilton touched 333 km/h at the end of the straight.

Russell swapped places with Antonelli to move up into fourth and defended his position into Turn 1, getting into clear air, while Antonelli managed a rear wheel slide. On Lap 8, Verstappen squeezed Hamilton and both went off track, taking Verstappen to P6.

Lewis complained that Max overtook him by going off track, and Verstappen was told to give the place back on Lap 9, which he did. By Lap 10, Verstappen overtook Hamilton again at Turn 17, this time cleanly.

From Lap 11 to 15

A black-and-white flag was shown to Antonelli on Lap 12 for track limits. Up ahead, Norris and Piastri were pretty comfortable in P1 and P2, followed by a rapidly closing Leclerc. The Ferrari, especially with Leclerc, looked strong while hunting down the Aussie, as Piastri’s car was struggling more with rear wheel heating under hot Miami Sun

By Lap 13, the top 10 drivers were still very close to each other, proving how evenly matched the cars had become after the rule changes. On Lap 14, Alex Albon in the Williams had a nose change.

From Lap 15 to the final Lap 19

Leclerc was just 0.7 seconds behind Piastri in P2 with four laps to go. By Lap 17, Leclerc dropped back and out of the one-second range, giving Oscar some breathing space. Isack Hadjar got past Franco Colapinto in Turn 4, a surprise last-moment overtake.

In the closing laps, Leclerc finally gave up the hunt as he seemed to pick up debris, which slowed him down heading to the finish line
