Kia Seltos 2026 Scores 5-Star Safety Rating in Bharat NCAP - WATCH

The Kia Seltos has secured a 5-star safety rating in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests.

The results from the test apply across the entire variant lineup.

This result makes the Seltos the third compact SUV in its segment to achieve a full 5-star rating.

Kia Seltos 2026 BNCAP Adult Occupant Protection

The Seltos earned an impressive 31.70 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection.

It performed strongly in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, scoring 15.70 out of 16 points. In the side movable deformable barrier test, the vehicle achieved a perfect 16 out of 16 points, highlighting excellent side impact protection.

The structure and footwell integrity received high ratings.

Both driver and front passenger dummies benefited from good protection to critical body areas across most test scenarios, reflecting robust structural design and effective restraint systems.

Kia Seltos 2026 BNCAP Child Occupant Protection

The SUV scored 45.00 out of 49 points in child occupant protection.

The dynamic test portion achieved a perfect 24 out of 24 points, while child restraint system installation earned a full 12 out of 12. The vehicle assessment section added 9 out of 13 points.

Tests conducted with 18-month-old and three-year-old child dummies in appropriate restraints showed strong results in both frontal and side impact conditions.

Kia Seltos 2026 Safety Features

The Seltos comes equipped with six airbags as standard, along with ESP, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminders for all seats, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors.

Higher variants offer additional features such as curtain airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera, further enhancing overall safety.

Kia Seltos 2026 Price

The 2026 Seltos is priced from ₹10.99 lakh to ₹20.19 lakh, rivalling the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris (5-Star BNCAP), Tata Sierra (5-Star BNCAP), and other compact SUVs.
