JSW Motors is bringing the Jetour T2 to India, which still has some time left till its launch, expected to be in October this year. With the hype the car has been generating, the highlight still remains around its safety, as a rather unusual durability test from earlier showed just how tough the SUV can be.
Six months back, Cars.co.za put the 4x2 Jetour T2 through a durability test, where it got pushed down a not so steep hill, which came as a punishment after losing in a race challenge earlier.
As seen in the video, during its first roll, the car hits its the upper side corner which instantly deploys its side airbags. Then after some dozen tumbles down the incline on its sides, the car finally comes to a standstill on its all four wheels.
The standstill shots show the car sustaining damage mainly towards the rear wheel body and the front roof - which got caved a little, pushing down the windsheld with it, causing extensive glass damage. Some damage can be also seen above the bonnet in the front.
Whereas, the rest of the body - the front fascia, wheels, doors, side windows, black pillars remain intact, with only minor dents, showcasing the high structural integrity of the T2.

What Remained Functional After the Roll

After the roll down, one of the hosts in the video checks the now damaged 4x2 Jetour T2, which to his surprise stays functional inside the cabin, as evidenced by the undamaged 15.6-inch central touchscreen and still connected Android Auto playing a Taylor Swift song, and the ability to charge his mobile device.
He is also able to take the car back home, not with the help of a tow truck, as you might imagine, but on its all four functional wheels.
