Hyundai India has launched the updated Exter micro SUV, with prices starting at ₹5.79 lakh ex-showroom.
This marks the first major update to the Exter since its launch in 2023, with more than 25 enhancements in design, technology, comfort and safety.

Hyundai Exter 2026 Exterior Design

The Exter remains the tallest car in its segment with the longest wheelbase. Its length measures 3,830 mm, width 1,723 mm, height 1,643 mm with roof rails, and wheelbase 2,450 mm. These proportions give it a strong road presence and more cabin space.
The refreshed exteriors feature bolder front and rear bumpers, a redesigned black radiator grille, new centre garnish, and assertive wheel arch cladding. It gets fresh R15 diamond-cut alloy wheels and a sporty wing-type spoiler.
Two new colours have been added: Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte. Other options include Titan Grey, Atlas White, Starry Night, Titanium Black and Ranger Khaki (with black roof dual-tone).

Hyundai Exter 2026 Interior Changes

The cabin now has a premium dual-tone Navy and Grey theme with a new 3D carbon-pattern dashboard finish.
First-in-segment metal pedals, a sporty D-cut steering wheel, new semi-fabric seat upholstery with Exter branding, and a folding driver armrest add to the appeal. Driver seat height adjustment and adjustable rear headrests are now standard across all variants.
A first-in-segment dashcam has been added for added safety and convenience.
The infotainment system offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (through a wired-to-wireless adapter in higher variants), a new Type-C USB port for rear passengers, and more than 60 Bluelink connected features. Over 300 embedded voice commands work even without internet.
Other retained tech includes an electric sunroof, an advanced digital cluster and over-the-air updates.
Boot space stands at 391 litres in petrol variants.
Hyundai Exter 2026 Powertrain
The Exter continues with the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, paired with manual or AMT transmission.
The Hy-CNG Duo version uses a 1.2-litre bi-fuel system with dual cylinders. An underbody spare tyre is now standard on CNG models, keeping boot space at 225 litres.

Safety remains a focus with more than 45 advanced features and 30 standard features across the range.
Six airbags, Electronic Stability Control and Hill-Start Assist Control are now standard.

Hyundai Exter 2026 Price
Prices start at ₹5.79 lakh for the petrol manual and go up to ₹9.41 lakh for the top-spec petrol AMT.
CNG manual variants are priced from ₹6.99 lakh to ₹9.40 lakh.

The updated Exter continues to compete in the micro SUV segment and rivals the Tata Punch, CitroenC3, and Maruti Ignis.
