BYD India has launched the SEALION 7 Dynamic as the new entry-level variant in its flagship eSUV range, priced at Rs 41.90 lakh, ex-showroom. Built on BYD's e-platform 3.0 and powered by a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, it claims 520 km of range on the NEDC cycle and does 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
The SEALION 7 has crossed 4,000 units on Indian roads since its 2025 launch, and a lower entry price is a logical next step for a brand trying to widen its buyer base in India's premium EV segment.
| Variant | Battery | NEDC Range | 0 to 100 km/h | Price (ex-showroom) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dynamic RWD (new) | 71.8 kWh | 520 km | 7.3 sec | Rs 41.90 lakh |
| Premium RWD | 82.56 kWh | 567 km | 6.7 sec | Rs 49.90 lakh |
| Performance AWD | 82.56 kWh | 542 km | 4.5 sec | Rs 55.90 lakh |

What the Dynamic variant gets

Despite sitting at the base of the lineup, the Dynamic does not cut corners on the features that define the SEALION 7. Cell-to-Body technology, a panoramic glass roof, a rotating touchscreen infotainment unit, Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control, and the full driver assistance and ADAS suite all carry over from the higher trims.
Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India, said,
“With the introduction of the new SEALION 7 Dynamic, we are expanding the portfolio to cater to a more diverse customer base while offering increased options to potential buyers.”
The Dynamic comes in four colours: Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White and Shark Grey.

Festive offers and what buyers get
The launch aligns with BYD's 'Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD' festive campaign, active since 1 August 2026. Dynamic buyers get a complimentary 7 kW home charger with installation, a 10-year RSA coverage extension, and a warranty of 10 years or 1.5 lakh km on the LFP low-voltage battery, whichever comes first.
