2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Likely to Get Underbody CNG Tank

Maruti Suzuki could be preparing a mid-life facelift for its Brezza compact SUV. As the current Brezza was launched in 2022 with no updates ever since, a refresh in 2026 is not out of the question, given the usual three-to-four-year update cycle followed by the company.
A recent spy video by Car India News from Gurgaon shows a heavily camouflaged Brezza test mule wearing a prominent CNG sticker on the rear windscreen. This could finally solve one of the biggest complaints about the current Brezza CNG - the conventional CNG cylinder placed in the boot that eats up almost all luggage space.
Maruti Suzuki recently introduced an innovative underbody CNG tank layout in their latest SUV, the Victoris. The cylinder setup in the Victoris is mounted beneath its floor, eliminating the compromise on boot space. The Brezza looks set to be the next Maruti to feature this layout, and if confirmed, the underbody tank will make the Brezza CNG far more practical for families while keeping running costs low.

No changes are expected to the powertrain lineup, with the facelifted model likely to continue with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 101 BHP and 139 Nm of torque, assisted by Maruti's Smart Hybrid tech, along with the factory-fitted CNG option (88 PS).
Visual updates expected with the facelift include a revised front grille, new front and rear bumper design, updated LED lighting elements, redesigned alloy wheels, and minor interior tweaks such as new upholstery and a bigger, updated infotainment system.
Although Maruti has not officially revealed anything regarding the Brezza facelift, we expect the refreshed compact SUV to be launched around early to mid-2026.
