Exterior
The 2025 Discovery Sport is here with small but clear changes that make it look sharper without being over-the-top. On the base Dynamic S trim, you see blacked-out grille, bumpers, and side trims. It feels purposeful without extra flourishes.
The mid-level Landmark trim adds practical details: a mountain logo on skid plates, puddle lights under the doors, and roof rails for gear. It doesn’t shout off-road intent but signals readiness.
The top-end Metropolitan trim uses silver accents on the bonnet lettering, grille edges, and undershields. Its 20-inch wheels have a clean, multi-spoke design that fills the arches without looking too busy.
All models keep LED headlights and taillights with clear, distinct light signatures. Ground clearance stays around 212 mm, enough for mild off-road or rough roads. Rooflines and window shapes remain familiar, so it still reads as a Discovery Sport.
The differences are in the details: trim accents, wheel designs, and small styling bits that match each version’s purpose. Overall, the exterior changes are easy to describe and notice: Dynamic S looks sportier, Landmark feels ready for adventure, and Metropolitan looks slightly more refined. There are no drastic shape changes—just tidied edges and updated finishes.
Trim | Key Exterior Detail | Wheels | Roof Feature |
---|---|---|---|
Dynamic S | Black accents on grille and trims | 18/19-inch standard | Fixed roof |
Landmark | Mountain logo, puddle lights | 19-inch alloy | Roof rails |
Metropolitan | Silver “Discovery” accents | 20-inch multi-spoke | Panoramic roof |
Interior

Inside the updated Discovery Sport, the layout stays familiar but feels fresher. Every trim gets a digital instrument cluster and an 11.4-inch floating touchscreen. Controls are grouped logically: climate, media, and navigation menus show up in clear menus, not buried deep. Materials are mostly soft to the touch where hands rest. On Dynamic S, seats use cloth or basic leatherette; fit and finish are solid but not lavish.
In Landmark, the second row slides and reclines. That makes a real difference for legroom on longer trips. There are holders and USB-C ports for rear passengers to keep phones or tablets in place. The panoramic glass roof on Landmark and Metropolitan adds light. In Metropolitan, front seats adjust in 14 ways, with heating and cooling. The dashboard and door trims have subtle contrast stitching.
The Meridian sound system on top trim fills the cabin cleanly. The digital rear-view mirror uses a camera feed, so you see out even when the back is crowded. Storage spots are sensible: cup holders, door pockets, a decent glovebox. Overall, the cabin feels straightforward. Buttons and menus behave as expected.
There is no gimmick. Space is used well: seven-seat option remains, though the third row suits children. In short, the interior is easy to live with: comfortable, logical, and more refined on higher trims.
Trim | Seat Material / Adjust | Rear Comfort | Notable Feature |
---|---|---|---|
Dynamic S | Cloth / basic upholstery | Standard bench | Digital cluster, touchscreen |
Landmark | Leatherette or mid-level leather | Sliding/reclining second row | Panoramic roof |
Metropolitan | Windsor leather, 14-way adjust | Same rear layout | Heated/cooled seats, digital IRVM |
Infotainment & Connectivity
The central 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is easy to read and use. Menus are laid out clearly: main sections like media, phone, and navigation are on a sidebar that stays visible. Swiping between screens, selecting radio or map, and adjusting climate takes a couple of taps. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work without cables.
Bluetooth pairing is straightforward. There are USB-C ports in front and rear. On Landmark and Metropolitan, rear-seat device holders help keep tablets in place for passengers. Sound quality varies by trim:
Dynamic S uses a standard stereo that is loud enough and clear, while Metropolitan’s 14-speaker Meridian system brings richer bass and detail. The digital instrument display shows speed, fuel, or map directions at a glance. Touchscreen response is smooth; occasional software updates may arrive over the air to improve features. Voice commands respond to clear prompts: set temperature, play a song, or navigate to an address.
Parking uses a 360-degree camera on Landmark and up, making tight spots easier. The digital rear-view mirror on Metropolitan switches view automatically if rear vision is blocked. In daily use, the infotainment feels modern without extra complexity. Menus are not overloaded; essentials are front and center.

Powertrains

The engine lineup remains the same: a 2.0-liter petrol with mild-hybrid support and a 2.0-liter diesel with mild-hybrid. The petrol makes about 249 hp and 365 Nm; the diesel around 204 hp and 430 Nm. Both use a 9-speed automatic, sending power to all wheels. Around town, the petrol is responsive: gentle accelerator inputs move the car smoothly.
.In markets with plug-in hybrid, there’s a 1.5-liter petrol plus battery making roughly 309 hp total. Electric range is about 55–60 km in ideal conditions, enough for short daily commutes.
Charging from empty to 80% with a fast charger takes around 30 minutes.
Engine Type | Power (hp) | Torque (Nm) |
---|---|---|
2.0 L Petrol MHEV | 249 | 365 |
2.0 L Diesel MHEV | 204 | 430 |
1.5 L PHEV (where offered) | 309 combined | 540 combined |
