Ultraviolette Shockwave

The Ultraviolette Shockwave enduro delivers silent, emission-free off-road capability. This nimble 120 kg e-bike pairs a chassis-mounted motor producing 14.5 hp and 505 Nm with a 4 kWh battery for a 165 km IDC range. That power translates into high performance, launching the bike from 0-60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds before topping out at 120 km/h. To handle that intensity, long-travel suspension, 19/17-inch spoked wheels, and switchable ABS allow this dual-purpose machine to seamlessly conquer both rugged trails and city streets.

Ultraviolette Shockwave Overview

The Ultraviolette Shockwave is India's first dedicated electric enduro bike and blends lightweight construction with high-torque performance for street and light off-road use. Its 120 kg kerb weight, mid-mounted electric motor, 4 kWh battery, and chain drive are meant to deliver strong low-end response and agile handling.

Its chassis features a 37 mm front fork with 200 mm travel and a rear monoshock with 180 mm travel. It rolls on spoked wheels - a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear - paired with dual-purpose rubber.

Meanwhile, braking is handled by a 270 mm front disc with a dual-piston caliper and a 220 mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper.

On the tech side, it gets a 5-inch full-color TFT display, with dual projector LED headlamps, and riders can customize the bike with single or dual seat configurations.

Finally, color options include Cosmic Black and Frost White.

Battery and Motor

The Shockwave uses a chassis-mounted interior electric motor producing 14.5 hp and 505 Nm of torque, which reaches the rear wheel through a chain drive. It enables quick acceleration - achieving 0-60 km/h in 2.9 seconds alongside a top speed of 120 km/h.

Also, supporting this powertrain is a 4 kWh battery pack.

RANGE AND CHARGING

The Shockwave delivers a claimed IDC riding range of 165 km per charge. To help extend that range, the bike offers six levels of dynamic regeneration, converting braking energy back into battery charge.

Once depleted, a full charge takes approximately 2 hours and 9 minutes.

safety

The Shockwave features four traction control modes that adjust power delivery to match surface grip, ranging from conservative street settings to fully off for loose terrain. For braking, it includes switchable dual-channel ABS on its disc brakes, providing intervention on pavement while allowing riders to disable it for controlled slides in off-road conditions.

Working alongside the ABS, regenerative braking with six levels adds predictable deceleration and energy recovery.

The lightweight 120 kg construction, meanwhile, reduces stopping distances while aiding overall maneuverability. It also uses long-travel suspension and dual-purpose tyres.

Additionally, dual projector LED headlamps improve nighttime visibility.

competition

The Shockwave has limited competitors in its segment, which includes the Revolt RV400 and Hero Vida Dirt.E.

The Revolt RV400 offers a comparable electric powertrain with a similar battery size around 3-4 kWh and street-oriented design. It holds an advantage in potentially wider dealer availability and established service network, while the Shockwave leads in mechanicals - with far higher wheel torque of 505 Nm, longer suspension travel, and proper enduro wheel and tyre setup for off-road use.

The Hero Vida Dirt.E provides a more basic, budget-oriented off-road electric option, but has an advantage in lower acquisition cost and simpler maintenance, whereas the Shockwave counters with superior performance - power output, higher top speed, switchable ABS with multiple traction modes, and a better battery range claim.

pricing and features

The Shockwave features a lightweight chassis and mid-mounted motor layout to improve the overall ride engagement. This setup includes a chain drive and dual projector LED headlamps.

A 5-inch full-color TFT display shows essential riding data, while smartphone connectivity through Ultraviolette’s smart tech ecosystem provides navigation and vehicle information.

Its electronic aids are fully adjustable to suit different riding surfaces and rider preferences, offering four traction control modes, switchable dual-channel ABS, and six levels of dynamic regeneration.

Additionally, the bike provides fast charging capability, and riders can select single or dual seat configurations.
