Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 Overview

The all-new 2026 Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 is the technology-forward version of Hero's long-established Super Splendor, positioned firmly in the 125cc commuter segment.

It is powered by a 124.7cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, producing 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm. This is housed in a diamond frame riding on 18-inch tubeless alloy wheels.

Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and a 5-step adjustable twin shock setup at the rear, providing 170 mm of ground clearance.

Stepping up to the XTEC 2.0 badge also brings a modern feature suite, highlighted by a full-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, an LED headlamp, a USB Type-C port, hazard lights, an engine kill switch, and Hero's i3S idle start-stop system.

On the safety side, hardware includes a Combined Braking System (CBS), and on the disc variant: a 240 mm front disc brake. Lastly, it comes in four colours: Black, Matt Grey, Candy Blazing Red, and Matt Nexus Blue, each featuring new-generation graphics.

Engine, Performance and Mileage

The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 uses a 124.7cc air-cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder engine that develops 10.7 bhp of power and 10.6 Nm of torque. This power reaches the rear wheel through a 5-speed manual gearbox with a multi-plate clutch.

This is supported by a 12-litre fuel tank, along with Hero’s i3S (Idle Start-Stop System) to aid fuel savings in stop-go traffic.

Finally, it reaches a top speed of around 90 kmph, with a claimed 72 kmpl mileage.

safety

The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 includes a robust suite of active safety features. Depending on the chosen variant, it comes with either a 240 mm front disc or 130 mm drum, both paired with a 130 mm rear drum.

A standard Combined Braking System (CBS) links the front and rear brakes to prevent wheel lockups during sudden stops.

For electronic protection, the bike features a side-stand engine cut-off, a dedicated engine kill switch, and hazard lights for low-visibility roadside stops.

Additionally, OBD-2B compliance flags engine anomalies on the dash, while tubeless tires are meant to prevent sudden deflation during punctures.

competition

The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 closely competes with the Honda SP 125 and TVS Raider 125.

The Honda SP 125 has a combined braking system as standard on more variants and slightly better refinement in engine vibration levels. The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 leads with higher claimed mileage (72 kmpl vs lower figures on SP 125) and a larger 12-litre fuel tank compared to the Honda's 11 litres.

The TVS Raider 125 offers sportier styling, a digital-analogue cluster with more display options on higher variants, and better acceleration feel. The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 holds an edge in claimed fuel efficiency and the inclusion of Bluetooth call/SMS alerts and USB Type-C charging as standard features.
